Welcome!

There are shakes out there with fewer than 5g carbs per serving. For example, I just recently discovered Isopure zero carb cookies n' cream protein, and I LOVE it! I mix the powder with 8oz of either unsweetened almond milk, unsweetened coconut milk, or Hood Calorie Countdown milk, so it's only 2-3g total carbs per serving.

I have heard of Isopure Zero Carb cookies n' cream but I never had it.  Maybe I'll get some from the Vitamin Shoppe since I can return it if I don't like it.

I must say that if I Were to taste it and then come up with a name for the flavor, it would NOT be cookies n' cream. There is no "cookie" to be found. I guess it's really just the cream part. ut, IMO, it's much yummier than plain chocolate or vanilla.

Welcome!    LC is not for everyone but it is for me.  Had I not left the low carb life I may not have become obese.  I won't let that happen again.

There are many zero carb shakes out there.  I use egg protein.  Healthy and fit nutritionals has no carbs and no fat.  I add a little canola oil and almond milk (unsweetened).  It makes good protein ice cream too.

Its an adjustment.  However, it can be very satisfying once you find the foods you really enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome, i have done atkins before, and since surgery i have been virtually all protein except for the carbs in shakes and vitamins, and fiber chews. and the occasional vege and strawberries and blueberries... til christmas lol

I did quite well  when i was on atkins before, but as with all my dieting efforts pre surgery i gave into a treat, carbs, and that was the end of it... this time is different i will not let it be the end.

Welcome !!! Please join our daily accountability thread if you would like to. We get some great ideas for low carb foods, and we really support each other.

I had gained 6 lbs over the Halloween thru New Years period and that is why I joined. I've lost 3 of those. well I lost more, and then bounced back. I seem to be stuck here wanting to loose 3 more, but happier than I was before I dropped 3.
