Can't help you there. I guess it has flour in it which I can't eat (gluten sensitivity since surgery).

Sorry! Let me know how you make it!

I'm not famliar enough with DS to know -- Over 200 grams protein is okie dokie?  I'm asking because I don't think I've ever seen that!  You're going to be at your goal in no time at all!

Total damage today:
Eggs and hollandaise Coffee with evaprated milk Greek Yogurt and 1/4 banana Atkins Choc Chip Bar Sugar-free cole slaw and thin-sliced roast beef Sugarless lemonade and lots of decaf tea Green beans, sausage with cabbage, and carrots for dinner   TOTALS: Calories - 1300 Protein - 97 grams Carbs NET (total less fiber): 33

I don't know of many that shoot for over 200, but I will say that DSers don't absorb all the protein they eat, so even though it sounds like a crazy amount, they're not absorbing that much. I have a much shorter bypass than a normal DS, but I aim for at least 120g protein daily (I easily exceed 100g daily regularly).

200 does actually sound like a lot, though, and excess protein in the body can be converted to glucose by the liver. But, it seems to be working for her.

Today was a high protein day even for me. But I routinely have been over 100. I wonder if there are labs that can show if your protein is TOO high? According to the vite experts here on OH/DS forum my last protein numbers were stellar.

I went a little shake crazy because I got a new kind. That was 75 grams of it.

I know you also drink more than enough water, so I wouldn't be too concerned about high protein for you (it's the poor kidneys that have to work through the protein, but plenty of water helps the kidneys, too).

I do count my water and I do a gallon or more in 24 hrs. I'm glad you don't think I need to be concerned about too high protein. I love my protein and I never have to feel "hungry."

Probably not good for the long haul, but a day or two I don't worry if my protein goes that high. I only absorb half of it.

I'm back in my "skinny jeans" today, 1 lb from my goal.

Woot!

Oh, doesn't it feel great to be wearing what you want?!?!

When I stopped fitting in my wardrobe comfortably, THAt was what sent me back to low-carb eating.  Just absolutely refused to buy new clothing to accommodate a larger body!

I did not realize that DSers only absorbed half the protein they eat!  So 200 gm+ is not a big deal, I would think.

Congratulations on staying the course!

It is really funny. These jeans are thrift store jeans that are too long and have a button fly. They are the smallest ones I have so they are my benchmark.

When my OTHER jeans started to feel too tight I said, no way, no how. I have too much $ invested in those new jeans to give up and buy a bigger size.

I feel grand. I have beanless chili simmering and my daughter is driving here today to help me get a jump start on my move. (I'm moving the end of the month to get away from this weather and to try to sell this house that is more than I can manage.)

It's going to be a good weekend.
