Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
***Wednesday Carb Accountability Roundup***
Today featured more coffee/decaf than in recent weeks! Included more vegies becaue Becky has been reminding us!
B: Eggs and hollandaise (and spinach you will almost always see this)
Coffee with heavy cream
S: Atkins Chocolate Chip Bar
L: Pimiento Cheese Spread with Fresh Pepper Slices
S: Decaf with evaporated mik. Frying cheese
Formerly, I thought this was too many carb calories -- 3 gm carbs/serving -- but i like it so much better, I don't care!
D: Chicken thigh, a tiny bit of tortilla, and homemade sugar-free cole slaw
T"OTALS:
Calories - 1225
Protein - 64 gm
Fat - 86 grams
Total Carbs - 28 gm
Fiber - 12 grams
NET Carbs - 16 gm.
Need to drink more liquid though! Gonna go have some decaf green tea!
Anyone else have trouble drinking plain water?

L: spring mix, 4 oz. gr. beef, 1 oz. cheddar, 1 T sunflower seeds, Italian dressing
D: chicken thigh w/ lemon, garlic and olive oil, 1 c sauteed zucchini and summer squash
S: natural chunky peanut butter
Total carbs: 33 gm
Total calories: 1564

Day 5 and the scale is dropping as I eliminate the carbs. Ketosis should kick in about now or I will be cutting back further. Yesterday I had quite a bit of sugar alcohol but net carbs are all good.

* Shirataki konjac yam noodles with stir fry sauce and canola oil, liverwurst, creamsicle, fudgsicle

* Atkins caramel chocolate nut roll, 2
* Diet soda (Yes I still drink it and no it still does not stretch my pouch.)
