Hi everyone!

Here's my damage for today:

bacon and faux French Toast (8)
Chicken salad (12) --I don't know where these carbs come from in my store bought chicken salad
Cheese (2)
Plain greek yogurt with SF preserves and splenda (14)
cheese (2)
Atkins bar (3 net)
Chili (beef, tomatoes, tomato sauce, cheese, sour cream) I'm going to call it (15)

So that is 56 which leaves me room for Carb Smart Ice cream later on!! AFTER my second supper which will be meat (0).

I hope everyone had a great Low Carb Tuesday!!

Oh Becky I like how you eat! I became allergic to chili peppers a couple of years ago so I can't eat chili or anything Mexican anymore. POOR ME!! LOL!!

I'm going to do some experimenting this weekend and maybe try the faux french toast. Sounds awesome!

Chow for today:

B: two eggs, sharp cheddar, butter
L: spaghetti squash, meatballs, pizza sauce, parmesan
D: cheeseburger

BORING!! Busy work day so I didn't have time to get creative. And I'm hungry so I'll probably have my usual two spoonfuls of peanut butter.

Have a great night everyone!

Peace & Love, Donna K.

It is not real hard now, but the first 3 days were bad because I really am  a carb junkie the more I eat the more I want I refuse to add them up when I was eating them. I finally know that is what has kept me fluctuating on weight 10 pounds up and down for 6 months. I figured if I am going to hit my goal and stay there I really needed to make a complete change. the more I learn about low carb the easier it is. Iam not having cravings like I used to and this board really helps.. I love seeing what others are eating

Is 48 protein enough? I only know the DS numbers and we have to get well over 100. Do you RnY folks malabsorb any protein? Good job on the carbs!!

Edited to ask: how do you make a no noodle spaghetti bake?

I usually shoot for anywhere between 50 and 100 protein but today was a bit low since I didn't have any protein for breakfast.

For the spaghetti bake I mix in a bowl:

2oz ricotta cheese
1/2C cheesy spaghetti sauce from trader joes
3oz cooked ground beef (I use 80/20)

this will fit perfect between 2 ramekins, baked at 450 degrees for 10 minutes,  then sprinkle 1/8C parmesan on each and broil for 4 minutes...very yummy!!

for each:
200 calories
5 carbs
16.5 protein

Lemme see here ....

Egg with hollandaise
Tuna melt on a low-carb tortilla
coffee with full cream
atkins bar ...
Chobani zero yogurt ...

Wasn't enough food today, but was tired ...

Yesterday I mentioned a glass of wine with dinner?  Which was coq au vin?  I was up SEVEN pounds of bloat this morning soooooooooo

for now, no more wine!

Yikes!

Thank you so much for doing this post each day Becky -- I get great ideas, and it really does help me stay on track!

I'm a-lookin at all of these posts and thinking that pretty much all of us need to add some more vegies -- Any thoughts on this?  Atkins, at its most extreme, still requires at least two large servings of vegetables during induction!

Are we going overboard on the low-carb thing?
