When I eat on the run or out with friends I try to find the lowest fat products I can. I remove some extra carbs where i can (half the bun on a grilled chicken sandwich for instance) never fries, and definatley diet drinks. My friends and family will usually ask me where I would have the best choices of food when we pick restaurants and when making wise choices I can eat just about anywhere. The drinks part is easy becasue not drinking with my meal removes that choice, but when we do stop for just a drink and I have had my hydration, I get a nice diet Mt. Dew. (I still like my caffeine). :)

Elite Whey Protein (Instantized) OverviewWhat is an Instantized protein powder? Instantization is a process that reduces the particle size of powders so they mix into liquids easier. Only the better protein powders are instantized since it's an expensive process that doesn't beef up the nutritional facts panel. So, if you want an easy mixing protein powder, especially if you use shaker cups, then you definitely want an instantized protein powder. |
I use Body Fortress from Wal Mart and have used several brands including GNC. I dont have any problems with them at all.
Bridget,
The post-op patients get 'Unjury' in the hospital. You can do some research on it by going to unjury.com. We suggest the unflavored kind.
Dont hessitate to call the office if you are looking for anything else.
I'm looking at different protein powders, trying to find one I'd like to try and I came across Optimum Nutrition's Any Whey, but it includes the word Instantized on the label. I looked that up and it relates to (what seems obvious, probably), the process of making dairy products into an "instant" product that can be easily reconstituted.
My question is, is this okay for post-bariatric surgery? None of the other formulas that I've looked at have mentioned that, but I assume they are still instant...any info, or suggestions? (Or reassurances...)
Thanks!
Bridget
This is your group. Let's get some ideas for topics that you would like to discuss...
For example: What is your indoor exercise plan? What do you like to do outdoors in the winter? If you are traveling, what are some tips for eating on the road?
Please let me know what you would like to discuss.
Hope everyone is well.
