Support group topic revisited

I have finally moved and I am still in box hell, but for the most part my wife and I have been able to semi tame the box beasts that live in our apartment. I will check into getting a place at CVPH over the next couple of weeks, for a monthly support group meeting in Plattsburgh. I am thinking the last Wednesday of the month for meeting day and maybe 7PM for a time. Let me know what you think. Ill post back here when I have more info.

I have sent an email into cvph requesting contact info. I am waiting on a response and when I know more I will post all the info here. I am not even sure what it means to be starting this up. I just know a lot of folks need to know someone is experiencing the same things and we all need to learn from each other to improve the overall experience of changing our lives.

Ok folks...I have talked to my friend at the hospital and we have 2011 locked down for the last wednesday of every month. I am working on getting us booked in starting this month, but at the very least we can start a new year with a new support group. I will post the dates and locations at CVPH when I have completed discussion with Ms. Jeweler. She is a wonderful lady and has been very helpful. I should know later today whether we can start this month and the dates. I'll keep you all posted.

Thanks for pulling this together.  I have an appt at AMC today and I'm going to make some flyers that perhaps they will give to their patients.

I gave the flyers to Linda and Karen Hixon, they loved the idea that a peer support group was starting in Plattsburgh. 

They asked me to tell you "Thank You - - Great !" 

They are going to post the flyers in their office so that patients are aware of the support group.

Thanks Jan. I will be sending them mini calendars they can cut up and handout as well. I will also have a sign up on the meeting room door so that people know what is going on inside. There are other types of support groups that go on at the same time and I dont want folks to leave because they arent sure if we are behind the door or not.
