April 7, 2008 12:30 pm  Okay - so here we go on a ride for our lives! Most of you know that I am very "Support Group" driven, so I am jumping in feet first to help put together satellite support groups around the state. My first emphasis is to support the Weight Wise patients that cannot, due to distance, participate regularly in the monthly support group at the hospital in Edmond. Secondly, is to offer support to those who are researching, preoperative and postoperative who need support through their own journey. This support group is cross-affiliated yet due to parameters set by ASBS to reach Center of Excellence, cannot be fully supported by Weight Wise and Foundation Bariatric Hospital. I will utilize some of the monthly discussion, offer up some of the OH documentation, and hopefully be able to provide some of my own as well. Please feel free to let me know if you want to focus on something particular. I want this to be your own place to come to find support and information as you need it. If you are interested in becoming a Certified OH Support Group Leader, please let me know. I'll be happy to help you do just that! We will need additional support group leaders throughout the state as we form these groups, so please let me know if you are interested!! I am always available to help you!!!
