Pre-op going on now...confusion on which procedure to choose...

HELP......Currently, I am in my pre-op phase of WLS .... where I am getting all my referrals and approvals together. almost done.... I saw my surgeon once, on July16th 2014. HE told me to get all my referrals and approvals together. then I can tell him which surgery I would prefer. After searching the internet, and watching lots of YouTube videos, I m still unsure of which procedure which to choose. I am going back and forth between the Gastric Bypass Roux-en-Y ... Or the Gastric Sleeve.

I want to go more towards the Gastric Bypass cause I researched that it causes the most weight loss, faster. but then if I loose weight it can cause sagging skin.

I like the idea of gastric sleeve, cause it removes about 85% of your stomach which also removes ghrelin (hunger hormone). So that's a big plus. and it doesn't interfere with the intestines which no malabsorption, dumping syndrome occurs. BUt there isn't that much research behind the surgery. so it is still consider experimental, so that's a downer.

SO what's the big difference of the two. How to choose?. Gastric Sleeve is irreversible , and gastric bypass is reversible.

Is there anything else I need to consider?

does anyone have an recommendation as to which to choose?

also, I have a two year, who is pretty independent, but still needs care, and my husbands job is very demanding. SO that's another fact I need to consider.
