Vegan/vegetarian and bariatric surgery

Admittedly I'm an omnivore, but I feel like this surgery puts so much focus on meat protein, that I can't quite figure out how to get veggies in, which I believe are essential for good health.
What is a good way to squeeze in vegetables in the soft food stage? Most of my room is going to meat or dairy protein, but I feel like I'm missing out nutrition-wise on veggies. I bought some sweet potato and broccoli today and thought I could come up with a mash of that, but would love some ideas. Even ones that tackle protein and veggies at once in the soft food phase! Lentils maybe?
Thanks!
Hi it worked. Thanks for joining my group. Are you a vegetarian? Or just interested in finding out more about it. I'm a vegan just 4 weeks from sleeve surgery.
Man, it's hard to figure out how to post on a "group" page. Hope this works!

Hi Beth! Like I mentioned, I'm not a vegetarian/vegan, but I certainly would like to have a diet that includes more vegetables and non-meat foods. Interested to see what adaptations work for those on the plant-based path.
thanks for joining my group. Hope we can find a few more people. And congrats on all your wl success.
hope I can find some vegans and vegetarians looking to discuss life with bariatric surgery. I was sleeved on 12/28. Have been a vegetarian for 30 years and became a vegan about 15 years ago.
