I'm very excited, my surgery date is October 22 with Dr. Melvin, gastric sleeve.  Anybody else have a surgery date coming up?

Hope your summer is starting off well.  I wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing.  What summer fun is everyone having?  Please remember to drink plenty of water no matter what you are doing.  Get up and get moving if possible.  It pays off in the long run.

Good news just received my surgery date from Vanderbilt it is Mon Feb 27th can't believe it is here, it sure seems like a long time from July 1st when I stated this journey. Friends ask me how I am feeling now the date is set all I can say is excited,a little nervous but I am looking forward to beginning this new chapter in my life.

Hey, Jennie! I'll be there and I'm excited you will be there, too. I see we both live in Hendersonville. We will have to get together sometime!

Has anyone else gotten a message about this event? My message came from an e-mail from the Vanderbilt Clinic. Anyway, it's a 1-mile fun walk/fundraiser at 3:00 in the afternoon in Nashville at Centennial Center for the Treatment of Obesity. There will be some vendors there, too. On-line registration is $25 and registration on the day of the event is $35.

I signed up to be on Team Vandy. It sounds like fun! I hope you guys will come out, too!
