it's been two weeks today since i've had the surgery . . . i have been stuck at this weight for nearly a week. so basically i lost 11 pounds the first week, and 3 in the first day or two of the second week. and now . . . nothing!

i started eating mushy food today, and i didn't get that feeling people talk about, that fullness - last night at our support group, everyone there was saying that they can only eat a spoonful or so of cottage cheese, or cream of wheat, or whatever it is (some people are cheating like crazy) and i was able to have a serving of cream of wheat for breakfast, and a full serving of cottage cheese at lunch - no feeling in the belly - no feeling like i had eaten too much. it makes me very nervous . . . am i one of the few that doesn't lose weight after surgery? i've already lost 42 pounds (mostly before surgery) and still have 98 to go! it's not like i'm close to my goal or anything like that! i just had the surgery! did my surgeon make my stomach too big? something can't be right if i can eat those things and not be particularly full.

i mean for 2 weeks, i've been averaging 500 calories a day, and then walking on a treadmill burning around 400 calories, so how have i not lost weight this week. i am doing walking, so i'm not building muscle enough to have not lost weight.

anyone else having this problem?

Im at just over two weeks and I'm stalled. I can't eat a whole serving of cream of wheat but I can eat half a serving (way more then a spoonful) and I can I can drink my entire protein shake in one sitting, so I seems like I can get in more then 3-4oz for some reason too, but I am still drinking with my meals so that may be an issue. I was told to not do the don't drink 30 before and 30 after until I get to soft foods.

I do know by searching the forums that pretty much everyone has a two week stall lol so I don't feel so bad about that. It's our bodies adjusting to this major change. It will pass, just have to be patient :-)

Keep in touch and let us know how things are going though.

i did the same thing, weight loss stalled once i peed all the IV fluids out over a few days, then about a week later i started losing a lb a day, and its been pretty consistent since then besides a couple days when i didn't lose.
