sore throat after the vsg
Revision on 07/15/14
so the one thing i haven't heard discussed here, is the worst sore throat i've ever had after surgery. apparently when they put the tube down your throat causes some "discomfort" according to the nurse. i think it's a little more than discomfort! i can't seem to cough up and i can't seem to get the phlegm out from the back of my throat. the little thing hanging in the back of our throat's (the uvula) is the size of a golf ball. it's very uncomfortable.
other than that, i'm very crabby (i'm pretty sure because of my throat). my stomach is fairly painful - not bad, the pain killers are effective.
all i can say is i'm glad the surgery is over and soon to be on the loser's bench!

i'm feeling so much better, the sore throat is finally a thing of the past. i think it's because i had a neck surgery and have limited range of motion in my neck, that they probably had difficulty getting that tube down my throat - it's the only thing that i can think of. i do appreciate your response, thanks!
