Make sure that you have, in writing, what the insurance company needs for approval and meet those requirements exactly. Also make sure that you are very clear with your PCP as to what documentation you need and always make sure that his notes on your chart are in line with what the insurance needs. Finally, work your 6 month diet. It shows that you have a willingness to succeed after surgery.
Good luck, the 6 months will fly by.

Topic: starting the process
So I will be getting my first set of blood work and having the first meeeting with my PCP. Gotta get him on board and start documenting a diet for 6 months. My psychologist is on board and I will be having her do an official psych evaluation in a few weeks. Cardiologist meeting is in early January. Nice to feel like I'm getting the ball rolling. Any recomendations or pitfalls I should be on the look out for during the approval process?

Every post I've seen about being full right after surgery seems to say the same thing. You are only on fluids so you won't feel full till you get to actual food. Good luck and hope the pain eases.

Thanks. Surgery went well. I am home now but still in pretty good pain. Doc fixed a hernia and stitched 5 layers vs typical 3. She said I will hurt.
Only problem is I have no idea when I am full

Way to kick ass there Jose. I hope I can get weight off that fast. I assume it would be great motivation. I am curious to hear how things go in the gym for you.
