Another exhausting day yesterday, but the house is essentially ready to show.
DS was well enough yesterday to get the rest of his stuff in storage that needed to be removed. All rooms have been declutterred and excess furniture/computer equipment removed. Only the items we are using in our last week here are visible and will be gone when we transfer to the other house this weekend.
I slept as soundly as I ever do these days last night so I feel pretty good this morning. My realtor/friend is coming at 11 to walk through and tell us what else might need to be done. DH says it feels like we are going to take an exam. Most work remaining should be minor. I feel relieved to be through this phase but then there will be the moving itself of course. Most of that will involve figuring out how to get rid of excess that nobody is taking. I am moving some furniture but most of my packing will be clothing. The other house has tiny closets so I am going to need to purchase a wardrobe to keep in the basement.
Today it is 55 years since my 17 year old eldest brother died in a car accident. I don't think about it much after all these years though it had a major impact on my life in so many ways. When my eldest daughter was dying one of the many sad feelings was knowing what it would be like for my other children who were close to the age I was when I lost my brother. I do think they gained some strength through it which helped when they lost their Dad. Strange how tragedies have both negative and positive impacts.
Not much else to report. Tirzepatide is still working well. I expect that 7.5 mg will be the highest dose I need since I am within a few pounds of goal.
Have a malacophonous Monday!

Yay, you are well into the 140's now! Good for you! And the clothes purging sounds like something I need to do! I'm looking forward to shopping from my own closet in the next month! Also looking to getting rid of WI winter clothes after this coming winter!
146.0
Porch and steps are dry and we returned the plants and other items back where they belong.
I'm taking this whole idea of minimizing clothing seriously and not finding it too hard at all. ( Letting go of all the clothes I'd grown into the last 3 years and more was a complete delight!) Then there are all those lovely outfits suitable for work. I don't need to wear something different every day now, so out with them and the shoes and coats and lingerie that goes with them.
Plans for the rest of the day- there are none. So, just kicking back for the remainder of the day.
That is unless the closets decide to cough up some more fabric....

Greetings all
It's warm again today but only 70. Nothing like the crushing heat inland where it's 117 in Redding. 150 miles away. I am grateful to be able to avoid it. My brother is staying away from his Palm Springs place. He has another home in LA and who would have thought thats the place to keep cool.
I spent some time in the studio. Was hoping to glaze but stuff is not out of the bisque yet. New stuff from the glaze kilns tomorrow so I can put some things in my woefully empty gallery area. Stopped at an art supply place only to find it closed. Not surprising as it's a mom and pop place. Got a message on my phone that Poppy had left the house. I could see the route DH was taking with their walk. The device is called FI and its not cheap and probably has a subscription but it seems to work and of course DH loves it.
Liz glad you have a stay at home Sunday. Everyone needs that. Gotta check out the beach bars.
CC why can't that alarm give you a break?? Only happens if you are out of town of course. Hope it gets fixed.
I am still being a Do-Bee and doing my daily short walks. Today I felt better than I had in a long time. Not much seems to hurt. Go figure. Must determine how to preserve this.
Still enjoying the Brokenwood Murders. Good show.
No clue again on dinner. Freezer scraping. Diane S
It is supposed to rain a bit the next few days and be hot, I know that is relativity high 80's, low 90's is hot for WI!
Enjoy your read!
Liz your birthday/anniversary trip sounds divine!!! What a way to start a new decade of happiness and adventure.
CC sorry about yet another rough start to the day. I hope it can get straightened out today so there are no alarms tomorrow.
Paula, is it done with the biblical rains in Wisconsin? It rained here again last night, but is lovely right now.
I had a great time in San Diego, but I am also loving it here at home today. We enjoyed our get together last night with our friends and their family. This morning I got up at a reasonable hour and drank tea, read the paper and puttered around in my flower beds. The bedding plants are filling in nicely and are lush from all the rain. If it gets hot, I'm expecting an explosion of growth from the impatients.
DH is off on a bike ride, and I'm going to do some more weeding and puttering. This evening we have tickets for The Little Shop of Horrors. This is our first time to see this musical. Tomorrow night we're meeting friends for dinner, and then we have a few days with no specific plans until Friday. I love both: a mix of plans and downtime. I'm hungry for a good book, so a day reading is one of my down day plans.
Water weight from my vacation is gone. Although I'm not losing weight when I still have plenty to lose, Wegovy is sure making maintenance doable. Grateful.
4th injection in! Looks like I can get another injection out of my current vial, so I think I will do 5 weeks at the 2.5 mg and depending on how I feel, go up to 5 after that. I was actually hungry for lunch today. Taking that darn protein powder out of the mix is making me feel better.
Went to church this morning with DH. We still have a little tree downing clean up to do. DC is currently hanging out and DS #3 is still at home hanging out in his bedroom. Costco rotisserie chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy on the docket for dinner. I should include something green but think I probably won't!
Glad your date night went well Liz. Scallops are a fav of mine too! Hope DS feels well enough to help finish cleaning up the house for showing.
CC, not the alarms again! For Pete's sake! Sometimes the F word does make bad situations feel a bit better for a few seconds! I need my bacon crispy for sure. Hope you enjoy your BBQ and soak in some sun!
I know. I feel a little faint too, even though it's just a fantasy.

I have a single annual visit with my PCP. For the record, he's never asked me to repeat words he uttered earlier during the appointment.
The last few years I've asked him a lot of questions about what I can expect during my upcoming 80s.
