I am one of those wait until the last minute tax people, too, Liz. Just the way some of us are wired, I think. In the old days when I was far less busy I used to get my taxes done well ahead of the deadline. The past decade (maybe 2) I have gotten them done on the 14th or 15th. One year I sat in my trailer late at night at the dog show working on them. LOL! But I have yet to file late! The exception was 2020 when I had all kinds of time on my hands during the shut in.

204.8 - up 1.3 overnight, but I'm still under 205, so I'm not complaining. I saw some photos taken over the weekend. I'm looking good in a suit, but in my street clothes I can see that I still need to lose a few more pounds. I really think another 15-20 off will get me to the perfect weight.

I'm feeling indulgent using up my sick days, but I don't feel one bit guilty! LOL! I could use the day of rest anyhow.

Poor Lucky fell off the bed last night at 12:18 having a grand mal that came on in his sleep. It lasted a long time, too! He was down for several minutes this time and when he was back on his feet, I could tell he was still having involuntary muscle issues and his brain wasn't working right. The older he gets the more the seizures take out of him when he has them. Poor boy. But this morning he is his usual chipper goofy self. I'm glad they never seem to have a lasting effect. I do wonder if they will shorten his life eventually. No clear data on that.

After several beautiful days - yesterday was sunny and in the 80s - today it's overcast and cool. Boooooo! It's supposed to only get to about 65 degrees today. At least that's not cold!

Started moving food from one freezer to the other last night. Oh, dear, what one can lose in a chest freezer! So glad we have the upright now!

Tidy Tuesday, indeed! A goal my first year of retirement is to become more tidy in all areas of my life - physical, emotional, organizational, etc...

119 - it really feels like the scale is stuck. Will be interesting to see what the one at home says tomorrow morning.

Massachusetts already sucked their small tax payment (due because of the sale of the house) from my account this morning. Our federal refund is taking time... At least the taxes are done. DS is panicked because something seems wrong with one of his W2's which he just noticed yesterday. That's what happens when you wait until last minute to do taxes ;)

Time to shower so towels and sheets can be washed before we leave here this morning. We leave in about 3 hours. Home in Florida by 3 pm hopefully.

Have a tidy Tuesday!

At least your DH likes to replace things! My DH would live with a dripping faucet/lukewarm water/broken garbage disposal for an extended period of time as long as he could work around it. I had our faucet replaced because it didn't work properly in either the regular or spray mode and wouldn't stay up in the facet arm (it's the kind you pull out). The repairman said it couldn't be fixed - DH thought it wasn't so bad and would have continued to live with it.

I kind of agree with you about CC's friend but maybe she will explain her actions adequately.

Greetings all

More sun and I was almost hot. T shirt time. Started the day with the plumber here to put in the ho****er recirculater and new garbage disposal. We also ended up with a new kitchen faucet. All this stuff took hours and while DH loved every minute, I could not wait to get it done. So big bucks but oh well. So glad to have the instant ho****er. And they were able to put in the 1.5hp garbage disposal. We could grind up and entire cow! Old faucet was leaking so now DH has a whole new pile of kitchen toys. After that I picked up payroll and went to the studio. Lots to glaze.

Yay Peps on the new number. Good on you. Dog shows are not conducive to weight control so this is a big deal.

DD six weeks in Brazil! How fun is that? Might as well stay a long time given what it takes to get there. We look forward to hearing the attractions.

Congrats on Etsy sale Paula. I thought of you today when I saw a rack of locally made greeting cards at the hippy grocery. Yep I too forget what day it is.

Liz good day to stay home. Have a dog party.

Yesterday was National Scrabble Day. How did I not know that ahead of time?

Diane s

Hippy grocery deli for dinner tonight.

Ugh! Weather here is less than charming. 50s, with a few low 60s in the extended forecast, and mostly overcast. I want 70s with sunshine. I need to go back to Florida with Liz!

Speaking of warm weather plans, DH said to me yesterday, why don't we plan on 6 weeks in Brazil? Happy dance! He initially said 4 weeks, so I think he is now really "warming" up to the idea. (Yes, deliberately bad pun). We would come back mid/late February, check in on everything, and then, most likely head to Florida for another month if we can find the right kind of short term rental.

I go to work everyday, and I still sometimes get the day wrong! Today when was I was leaving, I looked at my white board calendar and wondered why Z hadn't crossed off Monday. Then I remembered it wasn't Tuesday, and Z will cross off Monday when he's in my class 1st hour on Tuesday. (He is the keeper of our classroom calendar).

And then in 33 work days plus one, you too can exist without knowing what day of the week it is! Lol!

203.5 - LOVE IT! I used to go away to dog shows and come back weighing more. Now I go away and come back lighter.

I'm getting pretty close to that 1 in the hundreds place. There is gonna be one helluva celebration the day that happens!

Liz, power washing is WARM weather work. Glad you didn't have to do it.

My Tirzepatide company gave Eli Lily the finger. Whoo hoo! I'm very pleased by the stance Orderly Meds is taking about compounding and individualized treatment plans. Rather than cutting back during this time of law suits and decease and desist orders, Orderly Meds is ramping UP their WL treatment services. Gotta cheer the little guy for taking on big Pharma!

I am wiped out from my dog show weekend. Buster did great the first two days, which were the important days. He got completely dumped on Saturday and made a mild comeback yesterday...

CC, your friend is what my father calls a "fair weather friend". In other words, she's not really a friend. You are better off without her in your inner circle. Unlike Diane S., I don't think she's embarrassed. I think she is punishing you for NOT defending her for breaking the rules.

Come 3 pm, I will have only 33 work days remaining... DANG!
