Sunny, windy and cold this morning. I was up until the wee hours watching the election, texting with my dad.

Kirby is a nut. Lucy, his neighborhood girlfriend, we thought was done with her heat came over, but obviously she was not done. Kirby licked and cried and tried to jump on her and ever since, just cries to be outside licking and sniffing all the places she visited in the yard. Ugh. I even tried spraying the spot under the table she was laying in with Nature's Miracle, but apparently it's not that kind of "Miracle". She gets fixed in 3 weeks. I think I'll start the process for Kirby after my friend leaves.

Supposedly the handyman is coming today to install a new reverse osmosis drinking water thing under the kitchen sink. I worry about arsenic given it's well water here and normal filters can't remove that. Arizona is known for a lot of arsenic in the ground water.

It's shot day today too. I haven't weighed all week. That's never a good sign of my state of mind!

Take care, all...

Remember "Red sky at night, sailor's delight - Red sky at morning, sailors take warning "? The sky is lit up pink and everything outside has a pink glow right now. Amazing looking. It just finished pouring.

The show last night was kind of a bust - too slapstick for our taste so we left at intermission (as did quite a few other people). Our dinner out was good though.

Very surprised at how quickly the election was decided. At least the ads are done. Just the political conjecture on what transpired.

Today I have water aerobics, painting the last coat of paint on my end table, bocce @ 4, and a wine dinner at the clubhouse tonight. Not a tough day. DH is competing today to get a spot in a golf tournament called the Presidents Cup. He has never competed in golf before. I think he is a bit nervous.

I hope it stops raining soon and dries out fast or DH's try-out will be delayed. Justice has refused to go out in the pouring rain so far.

Have a winsome Wednesday!

ETA: Where is Disclosure? Looks like there are multiple shows with that name.

I am going to have to look up Disclosure.

I agree on everything beige. It may be neutral but it is blah after a while.

I like your thinking on the good fortune you have "received"!

I think Kurt needs to accept the feminine wisdom passed down from generation to generation. It's powerful stuff!

I think we're through episode 4. Searing. Also I didn't realize that Sasha Baron Cohen was the husband. And Kevin Kline wasn't immediately recognizable, but I caught on it was him earlier on.

Greetings all

Happy election day! Happy that it will be over soon even though I am a news junky. It is getting a bit old.

Gallery duty yesterday was really slow so I did some walking in circles. It will be slow there until Christmas as the tourists are not so thick. Still, today is a nice sunny day. I ran some errands and went to the studio and did some glazing. Still not ready to stick my hands into clay.

Wow on the butternut squash prep. Sound great. I love the stuff. It also makes a great soup if pureed with chicken broth, some onion, and a blob of greek yogurt. I have been craving vegetables lately and roasted some cauliflower and broccoli the other night. Stinks up the house but it's good.

Yep, my DH over feeds the dogs too. Pizza crust, bread bites and all kinds of stuff. Then he wonders why the dogs don't eat their kibble. Well duh. Both our dogs have been pronounced pudgy. Not good.

Gallery board meeting tonight. I don't usually attend but we have this lease issue. At least it's not late.

We have been watching Disclosure. So intense but good. Not sure what we will view tonight besides you-know-what.

So the house across the street is being painted an interesting shade of blue. I kind of like it. Hate the neighborhoods were everything is beige and taupe. This is the house that is in a constant state of home improvement. Who knows what is left to do?

Hamburgers tonight. DH thinks its a feast!

I'm also riding that political add-free train with blinders and earplugs on for good measure. Absolutely feeling a bit gutted about the brokenness of it all and worried for the future.

That in mind, we're back from casting our ballots and in for the evening. Also spent some surprise time at the dentist, dreading the projected cost to replace a broken bridge and finding out that said bridge is still under warranty and so will not be shelling out 5,000+ for unexpected and undesired replacement.

I, being my mother's daughter, call this good fortune and the same as "found money "- not having to be paid to dentist, that can now go towards something fun and wonderful for the house. Kurtbear says my logic is 100% flawed and in fact, sucks the big wazoo. Surely not.
