Happily, on the kitchen appliance front the appliances already in there are all SubZero and Bosch. Therefore, because of how we want to use the kitchen, we have only 3 new ones to buy: a range hood, a wine chiller, and a new range top. We're keeping the refrigerator, oven, and microwave. We know it could be a lot worse.

Yesterday was enjoyable - there was a good breeze with a lot of sun in the afternoon so it was quite comfortable.
Today the "bus" leaves at 7:30 for breakfast though I doubt the younger set will be on it. Bocce game with the ""kids" at 11, football watching somewhere with the NFL ticket at 1, beach club for a bit, then dinner out at a family type Italian restaurant. Our company flies out mid-morning tomorrow. We packed a lot in during their 3 days here.
Have a sunny Sunday!

Funny you should say that about the shopping. Seemed like that to us when we visited. The train sounds like fun - will love to hear how it goes. I think we will be back there next October as we have a family wedding in Scottsdale in mid-October.

Sorry for the loss of your friend. That's always a shock when contemporaries start to perish. Still seems so weird that DH died at only 67 (I will be 70 in March).

The moving definitely gets old after a while. I too had a couple of drawers of deceased DH's personal items and all those pictures to sort through before the move this summer. I'm not sure I ever would have done it if I stayed in that home.

Being able to shop in the closet is great fun, isn't it? When I moved from my longest term home to Cape Cod in 2014, I dumped all my small clothing (lots of size 2) because at that point I had given up on losing weight. After my VSG in 2016, I was kicking myself for doing that. I did not do that during regain after VSG though after learning that lesson.

Nice to feel that at least the main part of moving is done isn't it?
Looking under the house doesn't sound like fun though. You don't have basements in that part of the country either (we almost always have them in Massachusetts and pretty much never in Florida)?

Friends are here. The husband took Kirby for a run this morning! And per Kirby's MO, he came back more excited than he left. Exercising just lights his motor. Also true to form, he loves them and wants to crawl inside their skin as there is no such thing as close enough.
Then we went for breakfast and walked around shops. I really think the uptown shopping is horrible. T-shirt and crystal shops and bd restaurants. But we did walk around Tlaquepaque shopping center which is beautiful.
Tomorrow we are riding the Verde Valley Railroad, a 4 hour ride on a historic train through a canyon with historians and a bar... should be beautiful with the changing foliage.
I think that's all for now. I totally need a nap!
Take care!
Sorry for the loss of your friend. And your DH having a list of grievances currently made me chuckle!
