183.8! You bet your sweet bippy I'm counting tenths! Normal BMI, woohoo! I still have about 14 pounds or so to go, but yay me.

Drinking my coffee now and watching Kirby rip the stuffing and squeaker from his birthday present. Tile guy 2.0 will be back today and for the foreseeable future. Hoping to see my landscape guy as the front yard looks crappy and shouldn't for as much as I pay them.

More tidying on the docket today. I think I can put away the dog fences and the crate. He's not destructive for the most part unless I leave something important out or leave doors open, which is on me. And the crate battle was lost before we left for MI. We also need a dog walk and to I need to sweep the bugs out of the garage. So. Many. Bugs. Here.

Another task on the list is finding a framer to change out the linen matting on a few paintings that came from my parent's house. Funny how things develop stains when they were nowhere near a place to get stained. Could be something oily like Pledge that yellowed with time and heat. But both are older than me, so I get it.

Anyway, best hop to... take care all!

I love your description of Buster. Indeed, the goofy boy must be very endearing and fun.

That's is wonderful that you are so involved on Election Day. Good for you!

The key to getting things done is to put them on a list. I can procrastinate with the best of them and I do that by not putting those tasks on a list. Once they are there my mind tells me I have to work at getting that task checked off.

Liz, the weather prediction for your DD's wedding sounds parfait. I hope it holds for you. I'm sure this will be a full week, but I've long been in awe of your organizational abilities and your ability to refrain from procrastinating about pretty much everything. Respect!

Today is housekeeping, errands, and prep for another road trip back to Kentucky mid-week for medical appointment, early voting for DF, and some administrative chores that must be done in person.

On voting day (November 5) we'll be in Missouri where I'll be working as a judge in the election, something I've done in four states where I've lived. It's a super-long day (starts at 5 a.m.) and has gone as late as 11 p.m. I love the solemnity and importance of exercising our right to choose our leaders, a right that so many Americans have struggled for and even died for. I'm always struck by the fact that my mother was born before her mother had the right to vote.

Gotta get on my horse now and ride. Y'all have a good one.

Weight 119. 5 days to the wedding! It is cool and cloudy out - today's high is 62. Fall is definitely here. BUT the forecast for Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday is dry with sun!!! It has been the same forecast for a couple of days now so maybe it will hold.

The wedding craziness has begun. Calls all day yesterday - have you got this, can you pick up chafing dishes here, what time is the cake supposed to be picked up, can we come a day earlier, what do you mean Sheila isn't coming??? It will not be a relaxing week. We have things on the agenda every day. Today's mission is to order some goodies for the hair/makeup session and get champagne for that day and the brunch.

I can't believe I will be moving out of this house in a week. It really has been my favorite house of the 6 I have owned. Hopefully Florida can replace it in my affections.

Time to get cracking. Have a marvelous morning Monday!

ETA: Just found out a close friend's wife decided not to go to the wedding a week ago and never notified DD (so we paid for her) - the friend thought she had. What is wrong with people?

We are guessing the brunch will be 40-45 people. I am going to send an evite out and see if I can some sort of count...

Greetings all

Sunny again today. I spent the morning drinking coffee and reviewing gallery financial stuff for projected year end. I think we will be good without too many adjustments but that assumes sales match last year and so far they exceed. Good issues to have.

So I stopped at the dreaded CVS for calcium. Gee have I mentioned how much I hate that store? Seedy people hanging around outside, a veritable sea of flappy little signs which completely obscure all the vitamins and supplements, multiple carts of goods blocking the aisles and even stacks of things sitting on the floor. I finally asked someone where my item was and after considerable searching they decided they were out. My favorite dental floss was out as was the coffee I like. Geez people, they did not have one thing I needed. The thing is there is only a Rite Aid in this town and they are just as bad. Rant rant rant. I swear I am going to write to their headquarters.

Then I went to the gym to walk. Little mouse on a hamster wheel - thats how I feel. Still thinking about the tv issue. I do love having the place to myself plus a few muscle guys.

The chili will get made tonight. There is still some leftover steak from last night. Anybody else feel guilty eating beef 2 or 3 days in a row?

Ann glad the party went well. Nice to have the chef there rather than just pick up stuff. That will be great for you too Liz when DS cooks for the wedding brunch. How many people?

Paula hope you get some good pics. Hoping your DH gets to normal shifts soon and escapes the 12 hours stuff.

CC I am warming up to the idea of tarantulas when considering scorpions! The latter sounds far worse. Hope the weather is comfy there and gets cool enough to send the creepy creatures hiding.

Well time to start chopping onions for their very slow simmer.
