Greetings all
It's a great sunny day here. Played scrabble. Lost two, won one but they were all very close. One of our group is getting ready for a voyage to Antarctica in November. What an adventure! Ann you went there.
Liz so sorry for your niece. Such a cruel disease. My high school clique is 10 women and I keep thinking statistically one of us will get it. So far none of us has though one has another cancer. My mother got it at age 80. Wishing her the best on the upcoming surgery. Agreed: screening is critical. Ladies don't skip it. They took an extra set of pictures at mine yesterday. No clue what that was about. Maybe because I have fat ass boobs.
Next was the studio for a bit. Did some glazing. After that I stopped at the gym. I thought late afternoon it would be busy but it was not. I don't think the place has enough parking places for the number of treadmills and exercise bikes they have.
CC you are a quickbooks star. Want a job? Our gallery treasurer is going to quit doing all our bookkeeping as she is tired of it after 10 years. We are going to have to hire an outside person as no one else has the skills. So much for our excess profits. I predict a **** storm from the usual suspect. And go figure on the car smell. Car detailer must have smelled some terrible things in his life!
Lavender Paula! Thats you! They say it makes you sleep better.
More chili tonight.

The car detailer guy thought my car smelled good! Is he hard of smelling??
Liz, so sorry to hear about your niece. She has been through so much already.
161.8. Another smidge down.
Breakfast out with DH and DS2 was nice. Had ham and cheddar quiche and small lavender latte. Too full for lunch since breakfast was late but we will have an early dinner and perhaps I'll snack this evening after DH leaves for work.
Went shopping with DS to TJ Max for a bit, he needed some new clothes for work. Lavender bath bombs for me. Lavender must be my theme for the day!
So sorry to hear about your niece's cancer returning. Unfortunately that is never a good sign. I really hope she can beat it a second time!
My Stephen's Ministry person canceled yet again. I think she just has too much on her plate to make it work right now which is unfortunate since that is exactly why she needs it!
Feels like Fall for sure. I kind of like bringing out the flannels for layering and wearing boots!
That's an accomplishment! I have had a tough enough time getting invitations to the brunch sent out via Evite.

I'm so sorry about your niece, Liz. Cancer is so unfair and insidious.
This morning I got up early to work on my Treasurer's report, talk to the MI bank, and clean up Quickbooks for the nonprofit only to be pleasantly surprised today's meeting has been cancelled. My stuff still needed to happen anyway. I am always so shocked when I can actually figure out how to do something non-normal in Quickbooks. Makes me feel like a genius when it happens! Today was recreating old CD accounts' history in there then linking them to newer rollover CD accounts synced with the bank. I am Bookkeeper Woman, hear me roar.
I need to do the tidying I didn't start yesterday and the car detailer is coming by this afternoon. My car has a bad chemical off-gassing smell after being closed up all summer and it needs to be waxed. So that's it for me today.
Take care all!

I have a can because it's the only thing Marvin windows says you can spray on their sliding door tracks to lubricate them!
Weight 119.4. Four days to the wedding. Still a good forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and brunch.
This morning our family is praying for my niece who had a rough time with breast cancer last year during which she had 3 surgeries with the last being a mastectomy. They found cancer in a lymph node last week and a second lymph node looked suspicious so they are going to biopsy that one during surgery to remove the first one this morning. She has no idea what this means for her future yet. I hate that it feels to me that it is like my eldest daughter's experience with cancer when the recurrence led to her death a year later. I know they have made huge strides with breast cancer and pray that she will benefit from them. Strange to think that of the 8 closest female family members, 5 of them have had breast cancer. None of them are related to me or each other biologically. It sure highlights the importance of regular breast cancer screening.
I am going to the same hospital my niece is at today for what is likely my final appointment with my shoulder surgeon as I am 6 months post-op. I think it has healed fine and is essentially as functional as the other shoulder though I still need to gain some strength. I have to admit to not being good at my exercises since I ended PT a month ago though I am using my arm nearly every day to lift boxes, etc. I need to get back in a routine with that once life normalizes.
Time to plan out the schedule - my appointment requires allowing about 2 hours to get to Boston so we need to figure that out. Have a terrific Tuesday!
