Oh, I hope the wedding is a glorious as your DD dreamed it to be! We will see you when you resurface from the chaos and festivities! Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Weight still in the 224s. Works for me, but I was hoping to see a 223 today. Was not meant to be.

Anxiety and depression seem to have hit again. Not bad, but enough to disrupt my sleep and general upbeat mood. I was awake just after 5 today and was unable to fall back asleep. Thus, an early post for me. I'm all ready to rock 'n roll but it's far too early to leave for school.

Ron accused me of having no interest in food anymore. I was offended, because it's not one bit true. I'm just not obsessed with it. What I have become is picky again because I don't enjoy eating when I am not hungry. So, when I am hungry I want something "good" or appealing. Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out what sounds appetizing. Sometimes it's very simple, like yesterday's lunch was hard boiled eggs and a banana. BORING, but wow! It was exactly what I wanted. Last night was a specific shredded chicken taco. It's shredded chicken from El Pollo Loco with lettuce. I add hot salsa and BOOM... Happy camper. Then, of course, there is still the ice cream treat after dinner. Unlike Paula and Liz, I still have a great taste for sweets.

Last night was shot night. I find the shot really kicks in on Saturdays. And, I think the 12.5 dose is really my sweet spot. I still like food, have an appetite when hungry, but there is absolutely no food noise now. Fingers crossed this continues.

Well, I guess I should start thinking about packing up and wending my way to school.

Liz, I hope the wedding and weekend are magical!

Macungie, PA near Allentown. There was a floating or roving national in Kentucky this past March. I think there may be another this upcoming March, too.

But, even the weather in PA is looking okay for next weekend. Showers on Wednesday and Monday are possible, but Thursday - Sunday are looking to be rain free and in the upper 60s to low 70s, which to me is perfect dog show weather!

Weight 120.6. I have been bouncing around between 118-121 for about 7 weeks so I guess that is my current set point. I am still doing a weekly injection but at only 2.5 mg the last couple of weeks. I do feel hungrier especially close to injection day but not too bad. The NP at HenryMeds agreed that staying at this level to see what happens was a good approach and said if I needed to go back up to 5 mg at some point I could.

Today is wedding rehearsal day! We will be on the beach at 3:00 this afternoon. Before that I need to shop with DS for our Sunday brunch, do my nails, and steam my dress. After all the trying on of what I thought would be better undergarments for my dress, I am going to use the strapless bra I have had for several years. I hope it doesn't show under the dress. Bridesmaid DD has similar ruching in her dress and is able to wear one without it showing under hers so hopefully my skin and fat girls will be supported without band show as well.

Last night the "kids" here started being in party mode. They are staying with a bunch of friends in a house with 5 or 6 bedrooms, a huge great room and 2 party rooms - one with a TV and the other with a pool table and foosball. The wedding couple will move to a private hotel room on Saturday night but until then are at that house. We went out to eat with the girls of the group but it was almost 7:30 before we actually landed at a restaurant. To use the phrase CC used yesterday it was like herding cats. My SIL, bridesmaid DD, and I went home at about 9:30, but the other 4 went to a bar. Luckily anyone having liquor used Uber (the girls from the bar and DS coming home from the party house where he was with the guys last night). Uber drivers must make a lot of money on weekends around weddings here.

Onto the wedding weekend! Have a fun Friday!

LOL on DH protecting his guru reputation. I used to be the "go-to" person on that stuff with my family because I had worked in IT but I was happy to forego that several years ago after I retired. I hire someone (or ask the current guru) once it gets too frustrating.

I looked up the show - Kentucky? I would guess that the weather would be pretty nice there this time of year?

The building codes on newer builds (since 2000 at least) are pretty good. But you don't want to be too close to the water, you don't want to be in too tall a building, and you DEFINITELY don't want to be in a mobile home. The latter has to be considered a throw-away home. Knowing the history of how an area fared in past hurricanes can provide some sense of what would happen if one hits in the future. I did an in-depth study of hurricane probabilities and damage as part of my job in the early 1980's and mostly worked in commercial property insurance during my career. So we knew a lot about hurricanes. And I am comfortable with the risk of a hurricane where I live now (Vero Beach) and where I lived previously (Port Charlotte). I had friends who lived in the park I lived in later in Port Charlotte and saw how it fared after Hurricane Charlie hit ***** Gorda directly to the south. Very little damage. In Hurricane Ian there was more damage but almost entirely to the common buildings and pool fences - the buildings were higher and more exposed than the homes. Of course Hurricane Ian did a lot of damage in Fort Myers and Sanibel/Captiva mostly because of storm surge. So mostly to properties closer to the water. Bottom-line: there is certainly risk but you can mitigate it to a great extent.

Yup, I was once on a land trust BOD. That ended my enthusiasm for civic leadership, although I appreciate others' willingness to serve.
