159.4. Shot day was yesterday. Got my sales and use tax done and submitted yesterday but didn't get to the business income/expense bookkeeping. On the docket for today.

Plans to go out to dinner with friends tonight. Not sure if I will just get a shrimp ****tail or order something else that I will have to take most of home. Shot doesn't appear to have really kicked in yet so hopefully I can eat a somewhat normal amount tonight. Last night we had Taco John's (I know, yuck!). I ordered their taco bravo which is a hard shell taco wrapped in a bean covered soft tortilla. Used to love those things when I was in college! I could only eat about 2/3 of the taco. I remember eating the taco plus the loaded nachos when I was in college. Taste buds changed too because it was pretty gross!

I use the same GLP 1 provider as CC. Looks like they may be able to provide the med for 60 more days (from a different pharmacy) and I may be able to order several months worth. My other alternative if my NP can't get the prior authorization for MJ approved is to switch to semaglutide. There is also a lot of chatter that Tirz won't stay on the no shortage list for long. No sense in getting super anxious about any of it, it is what it is. A wait and see game for sure!

Liz, I hope you can soon take several days at the beach just soaking up the sun! You have been working so hard for the last few months!

Good luck with the zoom call CC. Glad Kirby has a friend he can play with! Lol about the puppies! They would for sure be cute! Do you think he would be responsible for child support?

Zoom call in a few. With neighbors, the board, and the internet tower people. Should be... interesting?

182.6 today. Having a hard time thinking of things to have for lunch that are high protein and sound good. i want something that's food and yet as easy as a Premier Protein. Diametrically opposed goals!

Later I have a hair appointment. Not only have I gone full skunk with my roots, I haven't had a haircut since June so it looks awful. So I'm looking forward to not being a scruffy mess!

Yesterday, my good friend and neighbor who's been in Italy came home and stopped by with her dogs. Kirby had the best time playing with her dog, Lucy! Luna has no interest in either of them. I see play sessions in their future. The only thing we need to watch out for is that neither of them are spayed/neutered. While they would make adorable puppies, neither of us wants that!

Tile continues out back. Why is it that all tile people who enter my orbit stay for weeks and weeks and weeks? Reinforces how much I hate having work people at the house, even if they're very nice.

I should get going, the circus starts in 10 minutes. Have a great day all!

This from Emerge this morning. Back to Zepbound!

Dear Patients and Emerge Family,

As some of you may be aware, the FDA has removed tirzepatide from the shortage list. This decision has significant consequences, as it now prevents compounding pharmacies from filling prescriptions for this critical medication. Despite the challenges many of you have faced--and continue to face--in obtaining tirzepatide, as well as the ongoing struggle to secure insurance coverage, the FDA decided to make this decision for reasons we can't comprehend. Their decision has dealt a heavy blow to the well-being of hundreds of thousands of us *****ly on this medication.

This is not the end of the story. We have seen GLP-1 medications removed from the shortage list before, only to be reinstated within a matter of weeks. We have limited time to act, and it is imperative that we work together to navigate these challenges. Please read below for more information on how we can all help each other.

Emerge's Short-Term Plan:For the next 60 days, we will continue writing and sending prescriptions for tirzepatide to our pharmacies, as allowed by the FDA. This may include a change to your pharmacy to accommodate your order. Keep in mind that we only use the largest, most reputable pharmacies. Looking ahead, if the situation and pharmacy permits, we'll offer the option to place orders for multiple months' of tirzepatide. Please note this will not be in October. Don't worry!--we will reach out to you giving you this option.

Our Long-Term Solution:Our primary goal has always been to provide the most effective solutions and the highest quality care for weight loss. We firmly believe tirzepatide is part of that solution. However, we must also prepare for the possibility that tirzepatide remains restricted. Therefore, in the days to come, we'll launch of our Semaglutide Program. While tirzepatide has been highly effective for many, semaglutide has also shown great success, and it comes at a lower cost. Again, we will contact you directly and give you the option of switching. As always, we'll guide you through the process.

What You Can Do: In times of uncertainty, the strength of our community becomes even more important. We ask that you make your voice heard by reporting your concerns to the FDA through the provided links. Additionally, we encourage you to reach out to your local congress members. Your advocacy is crucial in these challenging times.

We are committed to keeping you informed, supporting you, and ensuring that you continue to have access to the medications you need. Thank you for placing your trust in us. Together, we will emerge stronger.

Weight 119.6 (official weight of the week). Essentially unchanged for 8 weeks now, with the last 3 on 2.5 mg of tirzepatide. If I need to use it, LillyDirect won't be too onerous since I am taking the lowest dose: https://investor.lilly.com/news-releases/news-release-detail s/lilly-releases-zepboundr-tirzepatide-single-dose-vials-exp anding

I got so much accomplished yesterday! I had arranged for an Epilepsy Foundation pickup and had about 10 bags of clothing and linens. But I had set it up for up to 20 bags/boxes, including small household goods/appliances. So those items which I was going to take myself got boxed up yesterday morning and left at the curb with my fingers crossed. They took EVERYTHING! I called Habitat for Humanity about taking the last 10 furniture pieces that no one wanted and sent pictures with descriptions. They said they would have to come look at them next week to see if they wanted them, then couldn't pick up until a week later. Obviously that wouldn't work since the closing is a week from today. They must miss a lot of great furniture with that attitude because at least a few of my pieces were way nicer than what I have seen there. The philosophy in Florida is totally different where they take everything with no questions asked, then sort through it later (trashing some things that won't sell). I packed the remainder of my stuff and loaded it into the Jeep (to be unpacked today) and got DD's things organized for pickup tonight. We will meet her there and then have one last day tomorrow. I have arranged for a cleanup guy to get those remaining furniture items tomorrow morning, then I will clean the house. Sayonara!

We went to dinner with SIL and close friends last night and toasted Elise. We were home and I was in bed at 8:30.

Today involves unpacking yesterday's stuff and going back to see DD for the last time until Christmas. I hope there is downtime next week. At least everything is already signed for the closing.

Have a fine Friday!

Great news about Buster's start to the weekend. Yes, it was bittersweet. She has missed so much!

So funny that the full moon ignites kids. I know the people at deceased DH's assisted living place were a bit more rambunctious on those days.

Yeah, if it does get shut off I will have to use LillyDirect since Medicare doesn't cover it (or any other weight loss drugs): https://investor.lilly.com/news-releases/news-release-detail s/lilly-releases-zepboundr-tirzepatide-single-dose-vials-exp anding. Since I am at 2.5 mg now it would cost me $399/month.

Good news here.... Stomach upset, intestinal gurgling, and sudden urgency have been absent all day. KNOCK ON WOOD, I hope it stays that way.

Other good news, is that Buster got a small piece of the pie today. Of the 20 something males shown today, he was #4 getting what is called an Award of Merit (recognition for being in strong competition for best of breed). That is more than I had hoped for and am delighted to be starting the long weekend of the biggest and best terrier show in the USA on such a strong note!

I got an email from Orderly Meds today about the non shortage of tirzepatide. Their plan is to ask compounding pharmacies to add B12, L-Carnatine, or some other vitamin type of supplement to the mix to alter the formula. Should be able to do that and still sell it to customers. The other thing they will be doing is allowing customers/clients/patients to order more than one month at a time. I am not too worried. If I have to go back on to the Semaglutide (which has an expired patent), I will do so. I prefer the tirzepatide, though.

Happy Birthday, Elise. I imagine after the wedding weekend, Elise's birthday is especially bittersweet. Hugs, mom.
