I have learned that there are specific characters that when used will erase everything that comes after it on teh post. I believe, the #, greater than and less than symbols are some of the culprits... so is the = sign if I recall...
Wow, weird.....warning...OH posting may be winky today. It has cut off fully half of my post. No time to retype at the moment....

I get the mixed feelings over leaving a memory filled home. Smile and say thanks.
Yesterday was my 6 months check up. (The chart showed my weight at 189 in April). Feeling pretty good about that. Labs came back non-concerning save being a wee bit anemic. Dr only mildly interested in the lower than necessary weight (after being assured that I wasn't purposefully trying to lose). Left with instructions to continue protein forward followed by eating more frequently with goal to gain weight and maintain at about >135

Today I close on the house - the walkthrough is in 90 minutes. I am feeling very sad though I keep telling myself that it will be a relief not to take care of it anymore. But I really did love that house, that neighborhood, that town. So many memories. It will be easier once we are back in Florida concentrating on our home there.
We either still don't have power or internet in Florida because I can't access the thermostat or the camera. I will check in with people in a bit to find out. Not nice to be in Florida steamy weather without AC. DS' coworkers made it to Orlando last night (on a commercial flight). DS leaves tomorrow. We fly Monday, but to our local airport which hopefully also opens today. I am still waiting to hear from my friend about his mobile home - he says he will find out today but it sounds like that area of Venice isn't too bad. The biggest damage in Florida was on the east coast from the tornadoes. Several touched down in our town, ripping off roofs and turning over vehicles. But not in our community thank goodness.
Diane S asked about hurricane season. It runs from June 1 to November 30. The peak is September and not many usually occur in October and November but this year is obviously an anomaly probably because the water is so warm. I used to work in Commercial Property Insurance so we paid a lot of attention to this stuff.
Time to get Justice out into the COLD weather here. 50 degrees! Have a final Friday!

LOL: "DH tends to deposit debris in there when I am not looking" - Seems like a lot of husbands have this tendency (definitely mine).
You guys think I am organized, but I would have to have a checklist on my phone if I had multiple errands to do like yours. In fact, I have one for this afternoon!

Greetings all
It's a sunny crisp fall day. I had a significant chore list which I managed to complete. Pet store for dog food, CVS for coffee and travel stuff, walking at the gym, stop at the bank to cash a check and get $ for house sitter and finally visit to the studio. So all is good. DH is making a Costco run; in part because he wants to practice charging our newer electric car on a public charger. We have only charged it at our home. I am sure it will be fine. Have to plan a bit to make a 250 mile trip in an electric car though we have all the charger apps and such. So he will have fun and I get to control the tv.
Donuts! Bet I have not had one in a couple of years! It's helpful that I do not have a job at a place where such things appear. But an annual donut never hurt anyone. Not even a monthly one.
Well the one person I know in Tampa is fine. Seems like preparation was pretty good and loss of life not as high as anticipated. I don't envy anyone who has debris to clean up. When is hurricane season over? Soon I hope.
I made some hamburger with macaroni last night. Plain but decent. DH did not want an ordinary hamburger. More for tonight.
Just realized I have to work on the guest bedroom before we leave so house sitter has it clean. Must investigate as DH tend to deposit debris in there when I am not looking.
Thats about it. Stay well all.
Diane S
I wish I was in 80+ degree weather. It is in the low 50s and windy here. I am freezing! I hope we can back to Florida on schedule Monday.

I told you donuts are little buggers!
So glad to hear that Bug's teeth are straightening out.

Up a full pound from Tuesday. Eh... I kind of carbed out yesterday, so no big surprise. LIz's donut craving hit me in a big way. Auntie Kathryn brought over a bag of donuts. I ate a few donut holes and half a jelly donut. UGH...
Interesting observation: with only the 20 units of tirzepatide on board vs. 63 units, my satiety level rapidly adjusted to allow for larger meals. I decided to go ahead and take my shot a day early since I essentially missed last week. I will try to get back on my normal Thursday schedule next week. I'm interested to see how long it takes the med to kick in and lower my satiety level.
I don't believe the lack of medicine caused the carb consumption yesterday, but rather the fact that it was the appearance of free donuts and the fact that donuts were on my mind because of Liz's comment. It was a perfect "donut storm". Liz, you are not alone!
I purposely stayed off the news this morning. I did not want to see devastation in Florida. I'm really glad to know that the hurricane caused less damage than anticipated. However, the addition of tornados to a hurricane seems like overkill. Not very nice of Mother Nature. I wonder how the Manatees fare during hurricanes and flooding. Alligators, too.
Good news on doggy teeth! Bug's bite is almost normal. I think another week or two and her bite will be completely correct! Yay!!!!
Not much else from here.
