Friday the 13th, but it is DD's lucky day! 1/2 day until retirement!
No fish from the fishing trip yesterday. DH said it was mostly just a nice boat ride. One small barracuda was caught. DS picked up Justice and made it to the Cape house. Justice was thrilled to see him. I didn't do much other than water aerobics. This instructor really worked us and I feel I picked up a lot of arm strength over the last 2 weeks. Need to figure out how to maintain it. Dinner was once more at the Mexican place across the street.
The remaining 3 nights here are already planned. Dinner at a romantic restaurant near us tonight, dinner with DD and SIL at a great steak place tomorrow night, and our 3rd meal at Bingo which has small and large portions of meals on Sunday. We are actually ready to go home though it will be nice seeing DD. When we get back, DS will be with us at the Cape house until Saturday.

LOL on the paper clips! So many good memories you can keep from knowing how much you touched the lives of those children

Sometimes we need a do nothing day to recharge and start moving the next day. My DH doesn't know how to do that but I am very happy just reading all day.

I am happy but tired. Today a student who graduated 2 years ago came to visit saying, I heard you were retiring while handing me some flowers. More amazing blessings. Oh my heart. Tomorrow I need to attend a staff meeting, then check out. My room, grades, computer are all in order. Although I will say, I now think paperclips are just bigger versions of glitter. They were everywhere. I'd think I had cleaned a drawer, and then check one more time, and there it was: a paperclip. In every nook and cranny of my desk, shelves, cabinet, file cabinet...
Greetings all
Sun is out now after a foggy morning. All is well. Yesterday I got nothing done - no studio and no gym. I gave into my spirit animal - a slug. Today I did better and went to the gym and even upped my time a tiny bit. Then I went to the studio and made more of guess what. Got some good news on our gallery member in the hospital. No heart attack and nothing terrible going on.
DH had an electrician come by to see about expanding our electrical panel in order to get solar and some stuff. We have a good roof exposure and with two electric cars it seems like a good idea. He learned some things so we may do this. It amuses him.
So Peps windmills! I had no idea they still work. Do they really grind grain? Part of travel is to enjoy the food so have at it. Kick that other person out of your head (said she who also has a food goblin living in her head).
Liz and Paula you both seem to be doing so well maintaining. Kudos. You got this. And yeah Paula, wind is the enemy of all craft set ups. And Liz maybe your DH will bring home fish for dinner
DD one more day.
More shrimp tonight. Gallery duty tomorrow so I may stop by the grocery there for dinner tomorrow night. It is a small but complete grocery and deli and you can always park right in front. Very convenient. Nothing like the major trecks I used to make to the gigantic midwestern grocery stores where the parking lot has a separate zip code. Cheers. Diane S
Ignore that dysfunctional thinking! Have what you want just don't go crazy. As you said, enjoy in moderation and tell those dysfunctional thoughts to stay away!
Your trip sounds wonderful so far.

I suspected your weight would settle down. Mine is like a wavy line these days: up, up, down, down, up, down, etc. I do find that giving into a craving once in a while and having enough to satisfy but not go overboard and not repeating it daily doesn't seem to cause any gain. My weight just waves along within about a 2 pound range.

Only 4 more days left Liz, that time has gone fast! Justice will be happy to have you home!
125 even on the scale. Lowest point of my range. Maybe my anxiousness regarding my upticks in weight was unwarranted. Still having food noise though. Right now it is the Dove ice cream bar in the freezer that is calling my name!
Bible study was good today. I?m back to leading it after missing the last 2 weeks helping my Mom before and after her toe amputation.
Yucky weather again today. DH suggested a nap and I think that sounds perfect (after I eat a Dove ice cream bar!).
Still need to replenish some of my card supply from the last art fair. I ordered a few new bigger prints too to replace the ones that were sold and two that were damaged. DH dropped one and a light one blew off the tent wall. I?m actually surprised there hasn?t been more pieces damaged in transit or while displaying at an art fair. I do wrap the pictures in ?envelopes ? I make from that silver bubble wrap insulation stuff you might wrap around pipes and/or water heaters and such. I have to make some more of those for the art work too. I?m staring to transition from less WI/MI artwork to more FL/tropical stuff. The flowers can be sold anywhere!
Not knowing the day of the week may become commonplace now that you are retired! DH was just commenting on this yesterday!
Your trip sounds fabulous so far, rich in history! Enjoy your down day! A nap sounds wonderful! Cool temps and grey skies here, I think a snuggle and nap with the pups and DH sounds perfect!
