I was unable to watch the video, but was able to read the article. Saw no mention of criteria. Was it in the video? I still think the best way to determine a health level when it comes to excess weight is to focus on body fat percentages. Like CC says, no pleasing everyone, but seems to me that body fat level is the real indicator of obesity and metabolic disease.
And this is what 6 months of selling 2 homes, buying a 3rd home, relocating permanently to a new city, and getting married looks like for an old lady. Before this I was happy to be at 135-140, but as I've said before I don't hate this new set point range. And I'd still be happy at 135-140.
I feel like exhaling and relaxing for a while. As Diane said earlier, I sincerely think we're ALL killing it, given our weight/eating/upbringing backgrounds and challenges. VSG made our (currently) healthy lives possible, and our work since then (of various kinds) has continued to keep us upright and mobile since then. I salute us all!

I can only imagine what the West Palm Beach RH gallery looks like! Must be amazing.

A lot of work to furnish a new place. I have been to the restaurant at a RH in West Palm Beach. Very fancy!

126.2 this morning (didn't eat a lot yesterday)
Yesterday we had a furniture-shopping adventure--drove 3 hours to Nashville to visit an amazing Restoration Hardware gallery (4 floors and a very fancy restaurant). I'd never been to one before, even though I've bought several things from them over the years. And boy oh boy do I like some of their offerings! We fell in love with a very Italian looking white wool sofa, but it'd cost twice as much as we imagined paying for a sofa. We may still do it, but it'll mean we'll have to pass on some other things we have had our eyes on. C'est la vie, eh?
Earlier this week we did score some beautiful chairs via an online auction. Fortunately, they're only 500 miles away where my beloved stepdaughter lives, so I'll drive there on Friday, pick 'em up Saturday and visit with her, then drive back home Sunday. The distance is almost the same as from here to my old home in Missouri (and interstate all the way) so I already have the driving muscles to handle that kind of trip.
A coffee table we ordered will be delivered tomorrow, some lighting fixtures arrived this week and more come next week. The big deal is that the inspector comes this afternoon to review all the electrical work. After that hurdle is crossed, drywalling and flooring happens, and things really get in gear around here! :-)
Amidst all this we still have snow here in Kentucky. Streets are cleared, but lawns and unshoveled driveways are still covered. Today is cold and sunny, but the next 3 days temps will be high 30s and low 40s. I'm ready for the ice to be GONE!
That's all the news fit to print. Have a good one, y'all. :)

DD, you could turn the first two paragraphs you wrote above into a New York Times op-ed piece. Seriously, girl -- think about it.

Paula, of course you look and move and feel better than most 60 year olds! It's so funny how we can't see that ourselves, but others can. You can't imagine how much I'm enjoying pix from your Maui visit. Still can't believe I've never been (yet) to Hawaii, but to New Zealand four times. Not sure how I let that happen. Looking forward to your helicopter adventure pix now.

Peps, that was an interesting day you had. Isn't it weird and sometimes wonderfully so how our brains and hearts and "souls" (whatever those are) are connected in often invisible, undecipherable ways.
I truly feel for the 7 year old had been diagnosed so very young with diabetes. That's the youngest I've ever heard of. My youngest brother was diagnosed at 21, and it's affected his life so very much and none of it positively. It sounds like your kiddo has already made a big commitment to being responsible for his health. Super impressive!
And congrats on your workout, your weight, and your dysmorphia awareness and response. And all that in January when most folks are struggling with post-holiday splurges.

You can't make everyone happy. My waist circumference is above the "acceptable for a woman" 35 inches because I am tall and not waifish and built like a ruler with zero discernible waist despite a flat stomach. And my waist to hip ratio is bad because I have absolutely no hips or butt. I can pull jeans off without buttoning or unzipping! So I would be back to obese with no way to improve without BMI.
