We used to be overrun with chipmunks. The last straw was them breaking into my house somehow and storing acorns in my couch and making a nest between my mattress and box springs. We now have a rodent service (Hogarths, but my dad calls them Hogwarts) who baits for them. No in house visitors since. I'm not a fan of poison, but desperation is desperation.
And it seems to rain daily in MI too. My folks said they haven't seen much sun so far this season. No rain in the forecast today and it's rained for several hours. More tomorrow.
Enjoy being at your summer home!

Joke du jour:
A dog ate a bag of Scrabble tiles...
It was rushed to the Vet...
No word yet...
If they get in your house, they might as well be rats, albeit cute rats. However, outside, I still adore them. They are bold and cute as hell! My aunt in CT had several chipmunks living underneath her brick patio. I could feed them nuts by hand. I know one should not, but my aunt fed them every day, so I got them used to me and they would take nuts from me. They did not trust my aunt. This ticked her off.... Hehehehe
You think of Alvin, Theodore and Simon! I think of Chip and Dale! LOL!
