Another sunny day here in San Diego! Today we took the light rail in again to the touristy sites near the harbor. We went on a 2 hour cruise of the south and north harbor. Lots of Marine and Navy helicopters flying, making DH a happy guy. It was very lovely on the water and I learned a few things about San Diego. We had a quick lunch, where DH agreed to split a hamburger with me, and that worked a lot better than yesterday's chicken. I could tell DH was longing to see the aircraft carrier museum in the harbor, so I proposed he tour that while I shopped in Seaport Village. We both were happy. DH went on a tour guided by a docent who was a sailor on the Midway before it was decommissioned, so that sounds pretty cool.
Tonight we're meeting our niece and her husband at a marina park she really likes to eat pizza, drink wine, and watch the sunset. Tomorrow back to rainy Minnesota, and the day after, back to my parent's house so DH can change the brakes on my Dad's truck. Then, in not too many days, we'll be back in the airport, heading for Boston.
Like Liz, I tend to be more plugged up (which I, too, appreciate, since like Liz, I tend to the looser side of things). That said, I find that once per month usually with the first or second injection of an increased dosage, I may have a day cramping and diarrhea. Dairy is never a good thing to eat with a bad gut, IME. Guts can be really sensitive to lactose and want it OUT ASAP!
Greetings all
It's almost hot here. DH just turned on the ceiling fan. I bet it's about 73 degrees. Works for me.
Stopped in the studio for a bit and glazed. Warmer weather means that things dry out more quickly. In the winter it takes forever. We set things on top of heating kilns to dry. Place is a little less busy. After that I stopped at the dreaded CVS for my coffee. A competent person was actually working there! Nice. But the shelves are woefully picked over. They should hire me as a business consultant.
So I printed out CC's recipe. Might be more of a winter item for us. And thanks CC for sharing all the info and articles on the meds. Very useful to those of us that are research impaired.
We are still watching episodes of Brokenwood Mysteries or something like that. It is a really good police murder investigation show. For some reason the episodes are 90 minutes like a lot of British TV (this is NZ). It approaches the limits of my attention span but it's good. No exploding aliens.
DD looks like you are having great times in SD. Pool or aircraft carrier ...I just can't decide....
I made hamburgers again last night. Quite good. I found 95% lean beef at the little grocery and managed not to overcook it. Steak tonight. Much cow on the menu this week.
DH project today is changing the light bulb in the hood over the stove. He found one but it wont turn off now. Huh?

I didn't really measure the chicken. It called for 2 cups, but I cut up 2 breasts (one massive) and threw it in. I prefer my soups a little stewier.
Definitely one of the best "soups" I have had in a long time. I might be inclined to put a bit more chicken in to make it a little more robust (not a whole lot more though).

Weird how everyone is different (hence the long list of side-effects). My only negative side effects have been a bit of constipation (I am usually the opposite so it actually is okay). And a bit of lightheadedness sometimes in the morning which I think is usually due to low blood sugar when I haven't eaten enough.
