Smart bear!
So true about nice weather being a tonic - nothing better to bring one's spirits up!

I hated peri-menopause. Such a relief when it all just stopped. You can be sure that it is wreaking havoc on your weight. I knew it was finally done when I realized I had fuzz on my upper lip and cheeks that I had never had before.

125 (-2.4)! Unbelievable! I am at the top of my desired range now. I didn't think I'd lose much this week because I felt like I ate a fair amount more. I definitely had less wine than I was having in Aruba so maybe that's why. I knew my face and boobs shrunk this week (as they generally do in my last few pounds), but I thought it was more of an adjustment.
Tirzepatide really works! DH's sister was asking me about it. Her doctor won't prescribe it and her insurance company wouldn't cover the brand name even if he did. Plus I don't think she could afford the compounded versions. He has her on phentermine. But she was asking what was different with the Glp medications and I tried to explain how it removes that constant need to feel like you can't have what you want and that you don't feel deprived because you don't crave things and don't want to eat as much even though you do have an appetite. She couldn't even imagine what that would be like. Neither could I before VSG, and in the last few years before this medication.
Today we are not actively doing house projects. I got the last ones done yesterday, including putting a new door on the screen porch which went way smoother than I expected, packing the car to bring stuff to DH's house, and a final straightening of the garage now that all stuff has been discarded/moved/donated. Photos are Tuesday morning! SO I am driving DH to golf and going to his house with Justice while the housekeeper does a final cleaning of my house.
Time to get cracking! Have a facinorous Friday!

Fun having DH's bro and sis-in-law around...but their youngest brother, 17 years my DH's junior, is having some serious health issues and lives far away in New Orleans...looooonnnnnggggg sad story, including encephalitis in his mid 20s, a RARE usually fatal cancer in his 40s and now a weird slow brain bleed of unknown origin in his late 50's. He is financially in dire straits, as in, we had to pay his premium to keep his health care insurance current, (but "just as soon as I land this next job it will be fine!") and has alienated all of his siblings to some extent for a lot of reasons that would take volumes to unpack. He has NO clue how to manage money and is approaching 60 years old. My DH is 76, the eldest, and he has had Parkinson's for 16 years now and we are dealing with A LOT. I/we just can't take on much more...so stress....
Ugh. Sorry...

Greetings all
Sunny but cool today. Perfect for me. I washed my hair and stopped by the accountant to finalize our taxes. New staff person there is very nice and capable. Hope this person stays.
Then I went to the studio and made some new stuff. I really need to step it up as my gallery area is empty. A couple of things sold today. I sold over $1000 last month. These things are little gee gaws. Hardly high end art. Lots of sales today.
CC so Kirby has discovered deer poo. Congrats and enjoy.
Yeah Liz sounds like the house your DD has is a tear down. A friend of mine recently had to deal with a house in Topanga Canyon. It's also a tear down and full of stuff to boot. She found someone to buy it will all the crap left in place. Bulldozer time. But it sounds like DD place has stuff worth saving. What a job it would be to be a professional sorter of that stuff! I talked to a lady at a thrift store one time and she said she loved seeing what stuff came in to the store. To me, working at a thrift store would be the Little Shop of Horrors!
Peps I hope you can get that Uber to the sea in Carmel. What a great place to be. hope you are having some luck. What are you doing in North Dakota? Shows? Fargo has some. Never went to those.
DD glad you have nice weather. It's such a tonic. So much influence on mood and wellbeing. Enjoy.
DH had another vein sealing procedure today. More to go on the other leg. It seems to be no big deal but sounds icky to me. He brought some deli wraps home. Guess he is tired of being a vulture eating the chicken corpse. Costco chickens are so giant it takes days for us to eat. This one may be consumed by the raptor terriers.
There is a bear in our neighborhood. It's been spotted at the end of our street and also in a field back behind us. It's a cinnamon colored bear and is quite impressive looking; now known as the "Little Pond" bear. It seems to have learned the garbage schedule. There is a green belt and creek and scraggly woods behind us so I guess thats where it hides out. But there is also a homeless camp (allegedly I have not seen it).
Paula good to hear that DC is doing better. Major mood lifter for you.
Cheers. Diane S
I'm in Wisconsin for about 5 days! Last weekend of July through the 1st. I have 4 days of dog shows and then a drive to North Dakota. I will be in Waukesha and Whitewater. Are you anywhere nearby?
