Weight 120.8. Unchanged again. I did what DD did to make sure it was working - put some other weight on it to see if it registered. So since I am not dropping or gaining I think I'll stay at the same tirzepatide dose tomorrow.

We had a nice walk with Justice along the Cape Cod canal yesterday. I made grilled chicken, rice, and salad for dinner. Easy, healthy meal which we should do more often. I was thinking last night about how much tirzepatide has changed my snacking. Even after VSG I always had an evening snack of something sweet. I generally don't want sweets these days and feel no need or desire for anything after dinner time. The only snack I have is late afternoon and generally it is a protein forward snack. That one got added when I was prepping for VSG per the nutritionist because I have always had such a long timespan between lunch and dinner.

Today we need to straighten up and vacate for about an hour in late morning. The future new owners are coming with their parents to show them the house (maybe measure stuff?). Not a big deal for me because I am generally uncluttered, but DS is here until the end of the week so I have to make sure all his personal stuff is tucked away. There are little piles of his things everywhere: papers on one counter, computer stuff on table, medications on island, clothes on chair, etc. We are taking Justice with us for a walk but the cat will have to be left in the house.

I am going to see Pink tonight with a friend. We are meeting for dinner near the venue, then will see the concert. It will be a late night for me. Assuming the concert ends at 11, I won't be home until 1. Good thing I have nothing planned for tomorrow other than laundry and packing for the weekend bachelorette party. Early morning Friday as I need to leave for the airport by 6 am.

That's all I have. Have a wholesome Wednesday!

You are so right CC. Before I moved to high school, I taught in elementary program rooms for students with autism and cognitive delays. They LOVED music class. And because their motivation was high, we could work on skills like taking turns, remaining seated, sustained attention... 14 is way too high of a number!!! Even if you had 2 to 1 staff ratio, that's simply too many bodies in the room.

I am impressed that your scrabble group can talk politics. I miss the days when it was okay to disagree and we were able to discuss different viewpoints civilly.

My mom always said (and she was right) that eucalyptus smells like cat pee! Lots in Orange County. And side note, she would jokingly pronounce it "EE-cal-eh-PEW-tus" and I have to adjust it in my head every time before I say it out loud so I don't say it her way.

Goodness, that must be hard. But I imagine your class is the highlight of their week (and the non-special needs kids as well!)!

Severely disabled special day class. Very limited language - more than half the students in both classes are nonverbal. In the class of older students (grades 3-5) only 1 student is able to interact conversationally.

Greetings all

It's almost hot here. Maybe 70. Works for me. Started the day with scrabble. Won one. lost two. The Shark killed me. I am still bleeding. I can only beat him if I have incredible lucky draws. Oh well. Our Scrabble group is sort of like this group in that we talk about the events of our lives. But we are also able to talk politics both national and local so thats fun. Stopped at the store for a few items in my never ending effort to avoid cooking.

Liz I am glad your DS does not have covid. But I am with you - keep distance. No need for you to get sick. I think I know that one kind of eucalyptus you are talking about. Good luck finding it. We have lots around here but it's not the decorative kind. Also smells like a cat box.

Well Peps, maybe they are piling on you a bit in your last year. At least on the one day. I don't know what SDC means other than some kind of special needs. It amazes me how much help there is for less able students these days. When I was a kid, there were just the "dumb" kids. Not much help at least that was apparent. Things are so much better now.

Congrats to all of you with stable weight. What a concept. Wishing continued stability.

DD I may have mentioned that years ago I read a book "Your Money or Your Life" about how to plan for early retirement. Eye opening for me. You are probably way ahead in the planning and there is probably all kinds of software and how to stuff now but this book was a good pep talk. And enjoy those shows. Experiences count way more than "stuff".

Yay crab legs Paula. Yummy indeed. Go for it.

We are donating our 1998 SUV to public radio. A way to get rid of it. It won't start again and I want it gone. DH has busied himself removing everything from the car which is not much. If I thought I could get away with it, I would fill that old car with junk and get it all hauled away. But not nice to the charity.

CC sounds like too many smash burgers. And wants with the texting? I don't understand why people do lengthy conversations in this way. Why not use telephone? But sounds like your friend is doing a soliloquy and not having a conversation. Stay home if that feels right.

I skipped the studio today because I just felt like it. Too many "must do" s makes me cranky. And I need to go to the detested CVS for stuff I can't find elsewhere. Must prepare myself.

Almost 50 pounds since December is indeed pretty damn good, especially since the process has not been painful like traditional "dieting".
