I need to look into the reverse dieting - it seems to make sense.

Greetings all

It's sunny and nice after last night's huge rainfall. Odd for it to rain so much in the summer here. Oh well.

Spent some time at the studio and made a few items. Outside my window there they were drilling holes in the wall as part of the studio facelift. The usual suspects are lurking about.

Liz that party stuff looks fun. Great looking group. Glad it worked out in spite of peculiar driver. Wishing more successful activities.

Sinus CC. Hate that. Are you sure it's not allergies? Take a Claritin and find out. Otherwise get well soon.

Peps the reverse diet idea sounds good. I do believe something about dieting messes metabolic rate. Dr. Cirangle thought so too. Anyway sounds like you are making it work. And say goodbye to the Goat for all of us. What is the replacement? Plenty of ways to do dog shows.

Lizanne. Sending good energy. We are thinking of you.

I felt so crappy after yesterday's overeating that I napped and did not eat dinner. Feeling much better today. Just proves that occasionally skipping a meal is no big deal. Hamburgers tonight.

DH is watching a creepy old movie. Not my thing but oh well.

Bonnie I hear you on the arrangeing. Not easy. My next target is the linen closet. It's completely stuffed with I don't know what. I am sure there is stuff in there for animal rescue and thrift store. There are likely boxes of kleenex purchased years ago that got pushed to the back. It will be sort of an archeological dig.

Liz, happy to see your daughter so happy!

I'm in an Adirondack chair on the deck with this as my view. Cameras flatten the water out and elongate everything, but it's a beautiful one!

This morning I powered through the remains of my puzzle as Kirby ate another piece. Though several were damaged and hard to fit together, he only swallowed two. Seems like a win with as many as I pried from his mouth the last few days. Then I took him on a walk.

My sinus thing is getting better thankfully. Tonight we are going to a neighbor's birthday shindig.

Aside from that I know very little. My house is messy and needs cleaning as my treasurer replacement is coming over tomorrow to put together the treasurer's report with me. Only 4 more months!

Take care everyone. Hoping for good news for Lizanne.

I put sticky notes with kitchen items written on them on all my drawers and cabinets before my stuff arrived and then moved them around to make sure everything was in a logical spot. When I moved into my last house, I just quickly put everything away then *****ed about how none of it made sense for the next 17 years!

Just wanted to let you all know...my DH is still in the hospital, fighting. They had to put him on a ventilator, but we are hoping to start the process of taking him off soon. His fever is down (at least it was last night when we left). We won't know his mental and physical status for a while because he's completely sedated at this point. I'm off to the hospital now...any positive thoughts, prayers, good vibes and karma are welcome..

First week with students is in the books! I got the nicest greeting from my Friday fifth graders. Their kindness made my heart sing. It is gratifying to know that sticking to my belief over the years that building relationships comes before learning continues to pay off. I could not quite read my colleagues' reactions to the situation.

Still on a 10 mg dose. Took the shot of Thursday. I am continuing to lose weight slowly, so no complaints here. Especially because I am not dieting. I have a feeling to get the last 30-40 pounds off I am going to have to make a concerted effort and do a little more planned eating than I have been this summer.

Got to celebrate my dad's 95th birthday with him on Thursday. Kinda special, that!

Interesting conversation the other day about metabolism, calorie intake, etc... I'm just going to throw it out there for consideration: My guess is most of you smaller statured women have mucked up your metabolism through years of restrictive dieting prior to VSG (and even some VSG patients suffer from messed up metabolism...). There is a scientifically proven method to rebuild your metabolism - even after menopause. It's called reverse dieting. Check out the Mayo Clinic's write up on it. Combine reverse dieting with weight training and interval or cardio training and you WILL rebuild your metabolism. No one should have to "survive" on 1300 calories per day. Since I did reverse dieting I am able to maintain my weight (albeit, too high) on roughly 3000 calories per day. I lose really fast on 2000 calories per day, which is less than what I'm eating these days to lose slowly on the tirzepatide.

Made a decision to sell the RV this fall. Makes me sad in one way, but it makes so much sense financially and is a practical decision. The GOAT's replacement fell into my lap on Thursday morning. Ron and I went to look at it yesterday. I drove it home. So, the RV and my dog van will be going bye bye really soon. I'll post a pic on TT.

Swimming puppies, new homes, bachelorette parties, sinus infections, headaches, bridal dress shopping, dads and husbands falling ill.... A lot is going on with our tribe this week. I am wishing the best for one and all and all of those close and dear to us!

Liz, loved the photo.... Happy bride and oh, so happy Mama!
