You are correct - and the sheets are back on the guest beds.

A pause in the action, and I'm feeling very mortal indeed. Late night at friend's Thanksgiving. Brunch at BIL's, and then directly after that, a Kaddish ceremony at a friend's father's graveside. They are Jewish, and every year there is a short service near the anniversary of his father's passing, with readings, and a cantor singing a Kaddish prayer in Hebrew. Some November days its been warm, some bitterly cold, today was bitterly cold. The last two years a bald eagle has circled overhead. I think of the psalm, he will raise you up on eagle's wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun... He was a very good man, and we miss him.

We got home an hour ago, and I read the paper. DD wants to go to Mass at the Cathedral in St. Paul at 5pm. I'm starting to hit the wall. I might send her and DH without me. Neither of them work tomorrow, but I do. On the other hand, its the beginning of Advent, and Mass at the Cathedral is gorgeous...

Sheets and towels await me also. It is wonderful to have a full house, but I also am happy with DH and I on our quiet days also.

DS's girlfriend was very well received. One of my niece's commented that she noticed too how relaxed DS was in her presence and another how easy she is to talk with. We feel the same. I hope they continue to enjoy each other's company.

Sounds like the Thanksgiving Weekend is winding down for us all. I am not being very productive today. I have many, many things I could be doing, but I just don't have the motivation.

217.8... Slowly going back to where it was prior to Turkey day late night sugar fest. Yesterday was a very poor water intake day, so like Paula I'm probably holding on to some water, too.

I think I need to force myself to get off my butt and get a few things done!

Diamond D, hope you enjoy this last day before going back to school tomorrow!

Ann, feel better.

Liz, you already have your tree up and I bet all the damn laundry is done, too! LOL

I'm back in MO-land. Drove back 7 hours yesterday. I have only one more of those drives to make--when we move!

Today is relax and recover day. :)

I'm awed at all the entertaining, cooking, laundry, and Christmas decorating y'all do so well. I'm no longer interested in that long holiday entertainment slog. It's time for people to entertain me! My DF, however, loves all of it, so I'll probably have to gear up for it next year.

Last week we got so many things decided and picked out. I like everything we've selected. Now we're paying for them. We'll soon be able to fly first-class to the moon with all the points I'm accruing.

BTW, I've figured out that light fixtures and mirrors are the "jewelry" of a home. My term, at least.

BTW, I've had post-nasal drip and a sore throat for over a week. Finally realized I need to go to the doctor, which I'll do tomorrow. I'm hardly ever sick, so this is a bit of a mystery. Maybe I'm mortal after all?

CC, I feel for your friend. That sounds like a terrible situation for all concerned. If I were in her shoes I'd schedule the breakup at my therapist's office and ask her/him to help both parties navigate it as successfully as possible. Maybe that's a chickens**t way to do it, but I'd want to try to do what was most constructive (and least destructive) for both parties.
