Greetings all

Still more sun. We usually get this for a couple of winter weeks. Then rain will be back. So I went to the gym and did my walking. Wearing a mostly black outfit. Picture a penguin walking on a treadmill. That's me!

Studio time after that. Make a few small things but mostly gossiped.

Zoom board meeting tonight at which the lease debacle will be discussed. Still formulating my evil plan to get our landlord to agree with us.

Yep Liz, golf on a cold day is a no go. Better to relax. (Like golf is a job). Speaking of which, I watched part of an event on the gym tv that appeared to be an indoor golf tournament. They had big time players like Tiger Woods in a smallish indoor stadium hitting a ball but all the course was virtual so I guess it judged the hitting power and direction with some sensor. Weirdest thing I have ever seen plus there was no sound so I sort of had to guess what it was.

I hear you on that .10 number Peps. It has more influence on us than it should but it is still a thing. I have avoided the scale but feel good about each addition .10 I get on the treadmill. Competitive little penguin am I.

CC enjoy the clear weather. Must be balloon central. But lack of rain is always concerning.

Paula we love your travel posts. Yay.

Here is a funny story (sort of). An acquaintence has a DH who has the same disease in his hands that I have - Dupeyten's Disease. He has it even worse than me and has seen my same doctor. His pinky finger was so bad that he decided to have it amputated (not that rare as it can dig into palm). So he did it and then they had a Viking Funeral for the finger!! Like put it in a paper boat and set it on fire on a lake!. Accompanying party featured finger food...

Hey Ann did you get a fancy couch? Hope so.

Not much else. Did some adult stuff like sales tax return and other paperwork stuff. No fun. How did I ever do that all day long?

Pot pie tonight. Diane s

Into February. The weather has been so nice unlike previous years that I don't think at this point they are overly motivated to leave!

So far my online GLP provider isn't letting us bulk order. There was some talk of it a while ago but I texted them today and it doesn't sound promising! I'm hoping to at least get to maintenance and then see if maybe I can switch to Semaglutide.

Chores this morning. Warm and dry here still, it's a record now for the longest without winter precipitation. While it's beautiful weather, I am concerned for summer.

I forgot to take my shot yesterday and haven't gotten around to it today. Weird! In the past I was counting the minutes. I also haven't weighed myself in a while, though I probably should.

We're going to a Chinese restaurant tonight. They have a sushi bar there too, so maybe I'll have that? Not sure.

Hope you all are good!

This 4 hour time difference (and the busyness of vacation activities) is making posting in a timely manner difficult.

Yesterday was a pretty full day with a van and helicopter tour of the Hana side of the island. Stunning views!

Today will be more low key. Some pool time planned and then sushi for either lupper or dinner, depending on sun time and hunger! Tomorrow we are going to a state park, hoping to get some botanical pics!

Have a great time with your SIL Liz!

212.9 - Why a tenth of a pound can make me happy mystifies me! Goes to show no matter how hard we try, old tapes seem to always play somewhere in the background waiting for the volume to be turned up!

Sending the van off to its new home took much longer than anticipated, but it is done and I'm happy to have it gone! The young couple was absolutely giddy to take it home. It made me happy to see them so excited and appreciative. Since they are young with limited funds, I offered to "indefinitely loan" them a couple of vari-kennel crates to keep in the van. That way the van will always be ready for dogs in an emergency (can you say California Wildfire?).

The wife asked me yesterday if I had been working out. I said yes. She said, "You can really tell." I said thanks and she went on to tell me how good my legs look in my jeans. I thought to myself, DANG a 32 year woman thinks I look good in jeans! Whoo hooo! LOL Cracks me up, too, because her parents are basically my age!

If you haven't seen this short reel by Jane Fonda, you all MUS****ch. I love the message and advice on aging.https://www.instagram.com/reel/DE2DiNrOyqP/

I realize I'm in that stage of life where happiness and contentment are much stronger than they were 20 years ago. I can only imagine it's just gonna keep getting better and better as I adjust to retirement and stress in my life wanes.

It's time for my check in with Orderly Meds, but I was unable to log in to the site last night. I will try again today. Hoping to get that 6 month supply of tirzepatide ordered!

To Liz's therapeutic I will add thriving!

Toodles

120.8 - yes the scale digits can definitely be unnerving as Peps pointed out. That 121 I saw a few days ago was the day after I had half a Reuben. I had another half yesterday, so maybe once I stop having them it will settle down to start with 119 again LOL.

OH seems slow again this morning though it could be my internet connection. I am typing in notepad to be safe.

SIL is already on her way as her plane left early from Providence at 5:50 am. Other relatives drove her to the airport hotel after dinner last night and helped with her bag. Hopefully the hotel staff helped sufficiently this morning. She has done really well with her treatment as she was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer 6 years ago. Her oncologist said it wasn't curable but it was treatable which has been true. But the side-effects of treatment have been tough at times and she looks much frailer these days.

Because I cancelled on my golf association play last week due to the cold I feel obligated to play this morning so I leave for that at 8. SIL arrives at 9 and DH will pick her up, manage her luggage, and possibly stop at the store for any necessities. I will be back by noon. We leave mid-day tomorrow to go to the other coast to visit friends and attend an 80th birthday party for one of them on Saturday. Hard to believe that our friend is turning 80 (or for that matter that I will be 70 in 2 months).

Have a therapeutic Thursday!
