The have a place to go part is the hard aspect. With up to 180,000 mandatorily displaced, where do they all go? Sometimes it's better to wait and just be ready.

Good morning to all! Here it snowed lightly all day yesterday, and we got another 3-4". A lot should disappear this weekend--high of 32 today and 38 tomorrow. Yay!
I hope to get my ring back today from the jewelers (had to have it resized--turns out my ring size is now 5).
Speaking of face lifts, earlier this week I had a pre-consultation meeting with the scheduler for the local superstar cosmetic surgeon after the surgeon had looked at photographs of my unmade-up face. The scheduler said a facelift by Super Surgeon would cost me only $50,000 - $60,000.
What the actual FFFF? Not gonna do that! I'll just keep using my hyaluronic acid and French moisturizer, brushing my teeth twice a day, and paying attention to my RBF (resting ***** face--we've all got 'em).
Nothing else to report here--just waiting on the end of electrical work and a building inspection before we go on to drywall, paint, floors, cabinets, putting old and new appliances in the kitchen. Another 6-8 weeks and we'll be sleeping in our old bed in our new bedroom.

Paula, your Maui pix are beautiful! I love that you can sorta live a "pretend I live here" kind of life there.
And I still haven't been to Hawaii yet. #SMDH

120.4 - numbers over 120 get me nervous these days though they shouldn't.
Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful beach club day. Though it was only in the high 60's, sitting next to the wall that blocks the wind made it plenty warm enough to be in a bathing suit. We hadn't done that since early December.
Lots to do today as we leave at 4:30 am tomorrow for Albany NY to stay with the grandchildren for 3 days. I hope it doesn't snow while we are there. On the list: laundry, food shopping, some house cleaning, water aerobics, golf, packing. The food shopping and house cleaning are because SIL an arrives the morning after we get back late in the day and we won't have much time before her early arrival . Water aerobics is iffy as it is raining right now but there are still a couple of hours until then. Golf is 9 holes with DH.
But first: coffee (with Fairlife Core Power as creamer - good way to get some protein in easily). Have a savvy Saturday!
Question: Tomorrow night is injection night - do you think I can prefill my syringe and bring it without the vial in my travel case (keeps it cold)? I searched online and it seems okay to do it for a short time for insulin but I couldn't find anything official on tirzepatide.

It is hard when one travels to find the usual things - have you tried CVS? They seemed to be pretty similar to the mainland in terms of products (though I don't know if any of them have Fairlife).
Gald you are enjoying it!

It might behoove people not in the evacuation areas to leave before an order is issued if they have a place to go. I would think avoiding people jamming onto roads to get out would be a good idea. We have friends whose daughter and husband live in the area and they have evacuated to their family's home in advance.

Another beautiful Maui day! Details and a few pics on FB! Whale watching was great, the loud pool parties until 11:30 pm and then the severe thunderstorm at 4:00 am, not so much!
Can't find Fairlife on the island yet (except for the Costco 18 pack, which is too much!) I tried chocolate Muscle milk for breakfast! Gag! Literally had to plug my nose and chug to get it down!
Will be grilling out teriyaki chicken kabobs with pineapple tonight for dinner. I think we will hike the Maui Coastal Trail tomorrow!
Heated throw before bed is great to warm up extremities!

Greetings my Peeps
I thought today would be dry but it is sprinkling. I had lunch with the "Ladies who Lunch" (which I call the Lunch Ladies) at a new Italian restaurant today. It was fun. One woman came by *****cently was sleeved somewhere in Napa. She is only drinking water for a prescribed amount of days. She did not know about OH so I will get her in. Seems like a fun person. Hoping I can help her a bit. Food was good - I had soup and salad and could not eat it all.
Stopped in the studio but I was uninspired so did not stay long. Did the gym after that and there was no one there peculiar enough to amuse me. DH had Mexican lunch so leftovers tonight.
Peps I am so glad that AKC thing is done. Many years ago the house counsel position was open for the AKC and they were looking for lawyers who also had show experience. I seriously considered it. But would have had to move to NC. Anyway now you can worry about important stuff like socks to bed.
Yay Paula another day in paradise! I recall that there were lots of whales to watch. Enjoy. Hope you both are over the sniffle stuff.
CC sounds like you should turn the snore alert off. Guess it is useful with those bordering on sleep apnea or those who wake up with scratchy throats. We look forward to long term reports of new bed.
Still wishing my brother would leave his house even though it's not in evacuation zone. Air quality sucks.
Liz enjoy your down day. Glad it's warming up.
DD its Friday!
