We did have Prosecco in mimosas, though not caviar and champagne LOL. I would have loved some corned beef and cabbage, but none this year.

Greetings all
Sun is out big but more storms on the way.So be it. I feel a nap coming on. Scrabble this morning and I lost all three games. Just not my day. Character building I guess. I came straight home and made a tuna sandwich. There is a gallery meeting this evening and I hate being out but hope it will not last too long. Our treasurer for the last 12 years does not want to do it anymore and there is no one else who is really very good at that stuff. It's all on quickbooks which everyone says is annoying. And the vice president position will be open and the difficult person has already nominated herself. Should be amusing for those of us in the peanut gallery.
Liz I was wondering if that boat would rock you to sleep. I remember that from a cruise ship. Does this yacht have a rough ride ever> Like seasick rough?
So DD I had to look up James. Looks interesting. Read Huck Finn a million years ago. What a good concept for a book. I hope you get a snow day. Or two. I don't doubt that teaching is a serious energy drain. End in sight....
Paula you da beast now! Biggest loser workouts must be tough. I was reading a CNN newsletter today that said we should do "exercise snacks" which are bits of exercise from 60 seconds to 5 minutes. An extra flight of stairs, a few squats, walk up and down a hall and such. it said even these small bits show health improvement. My kind of exercise. GL with Bible study prep.
Not much else. I have some pre cooked shredded chicken. It may go in a skillet with Japanese bbq sauce. High end cuisine for this house. Diane S
I never thought about how the rocking of the boat could lull one to sleep. Coupled with the fresh air and exercise, it seems like it could be sleep coma time!
Paula hope you're not too sore, but yeah, having good muscle to work with will help with the plastic surgery.
Liz, I am not a fan of Huckleberry Finn, or Tom Sawyer for that matter. But I read James, and I couldn't put it down once I started. Reading Huck Finn beforehand to give more context to James is a great idea.
Another normal day, except my fatigue is off the charts again, and I'm not sure why. Maybe because I didn't use the weekend to catch up on sleep. There's another storm heading for the center of the country tonight. It could bring snow to our area. The students are, of course, hoping for a snowday. Seems unlikely, but I've been surprised before.
128.5, maintaining nicely!
Corned beef and cabbage was good last night. Tonight will be shrimp ****tail! Thanks Diane for putting the idea in my mind!
Already did the treadmill (20 minutes) and then a Biggest Loser boot camp DVD (lots of squats, lunges, arm weights and pushups with cardio mixed in). It's a tough one, will most likely be sore tomorrow! I want to build up muscle as much as possible before plastics to get the best contouring possible, still considering joining the local Y for that!
I will be leading woman's Bible study for at least the next 6 weeks which will require a bit more prep on my part, but it's all good! Character development class continues to be enlightening!
Liz, your trip looks fabulous! Looks like an episode of Lives of the Rich and Famous! Champagne and caviar! Grey Poupon anyone?
Another day in paradise - the sun is out and it is nice and warm. The 3 nights we have slept on the boat I have slept great. Must be the rocking, like being a baby again.
Yesterday the theme was green LOL. Great food including steak for dinner. DH was happy. We went to one bar in the afternoon but it was too fancy - apparently it lost its charm after it was rebuilt following Hurricane Irma. The owner of the bar we went to the day before kept the core of the bar as is and built around that trying to retain the character. Not so at the one yesterday. Today we may spend more time just doing water sports. Yesterday I did paddle board for about an hour though. Never got wet - just stepped on and off the board from the boat.
Have a terrific Tuesday!

To Kill a Mockingbird was such a great book (and movie). I am reading The Adventures of Huck Finn for book club and having a really hard time with the vernacular. James comes next.

Good for you moving forward! Sounds like you have a good PS not trying to oversell.

Our cross town high school (same district) was told by their principal they could no longer teach To Kill A Mockingbird. I imagine it will be taken out of rotation at our school one day. It's not without problems, but that provides an opportunity for discussion and context, while preserving the still (I think) important themes of empathy, friendship, and moral courage.
Greetings all
Today started with rain but the sun is out now. Who knows for how long. Missed the gym yesterday due to power outage festivities so I made sure I got there today. Lo and behold the elevator was out of service due to yesterday's power failure. So I sucked it up and walked up two flights of stairs. Not as bad as I expected so I guess I will have to start doing that too. Walking down was almost harder. After that I picked up payroll and took it to the studio. Picked up new stuff and took it to the gallery. Home now enjoying a glass of Fairlife milk.
Liz that boat rocks!! LOL. Looks great. What a fun birthday. No shoes! Perfect.
Yep DD soon you and Peps will escape the tyranny of week days. Enjoy Atticus and Scout for the last time. At least you get to teach that.
Paula keep us posted on the plastics. Agreed you do not need the 360. Inner thighs sounds like a good plan. Thanks for the thoughts on nephew's early baby. She is well over 4 pounds now. Hope she gets to 5
Balloons and barking CC. That will keep Kirby very busy. Yep trash pick up is how we tell days of week. DH never forgets. I do.
Not much to offer here on food and weight. Only that shrimp makes a good dinner but ya'll know that. Yeah DD I don't like a lot of fish if I make it. Better if someone else cooks. Everyone says the secret to fish is to not overcook it but it is hard not to because the thought of undercooked fish is gross. I like salmon ( had a friend who said "I do not eat orange fish") but am picky about whether it is wild caught or farm raised. There is a new fish farm being built near here but no clue on what sort of fish.
Well enough stream of consciousness. Stay warm and dry all. (Except Liz who is living it)
