I hear you on the snoring girl! And unfortunately turning over doesn't stop my DH. I had to pull out the ear plugs last night and they make my ears itch!

Greetings all

Check in while my hair is air drying. It's damp outside so it may take awhile. Working at odds and ends at my desk while I wait. Then it will be off to the gym for walking. Later will be the big night on the town at the Sushi Spot. Hope it's good so Dh will go back. As mentioned there are only a few restaurants in this town; Mexican, pizza, and a place called the Green Barn. How appealing is that?

Liz you are lucky to have a well run club meeting. Stuff will get done. None of the verbal diarrhea that occurs at my little boards. Enjoy the return of warmth.

Yay DD on your friend being back to work. Hang in there. Retirement awaits!

Paula hope the fiancé gets the job. Would be nice to be nearby. Fingers crossed.

DH is engrossed in Ancient Aliens. I can' believe how many episodes there are of that show. Actually it could be the same ones over and over. Who can tell?

Our rain is producing snow about 30 miles inland. Glad I am not there.

Not much else. Laundry under way. Looking forward to dinner out

Just another day in .... well not quite paradise, but there's much to be grateful for. My principal asked me how I was doing today and I said I'm good, as good as one can be in these trying times. She agreed.

DH being home makes me happy. Until the snoring. But yeah, snoring is okay if it means he's sleeping next to me. Less snoring would be okay too!

My panic about gaining weight is over. Back in steady maintenance range for several days now.

My friend who had a terrible accident that could have left him paralyzed back in October has returned to work! It's so good to see him. He's the bright spot of the week.

Grrrr, I responded once and my post disappeared!

132.7. Up! Most likely from a slice of pizza last night.

Did tons of laundry yesterday and today was bathrooms! Will save dusting and vacuuming for tomorrow. DSD and fiancé will come Thursday through the weekend. He has an interview in Madison on Friday for a potential residency program. He has interviewed all over the place and in March will hopefully be matched to one of them. This will determine where they live after they get married!

Had to take Bella to the groomer today. Way overdue because of her emergency hospitalization and then our trip and subsequent Covid. Definitely more mats than usual. I'll have to tip extra well!

The annual meeting at our club was interesting yesterday. Very professional - you would have thought it was for a larger corporation. Of course the board members were all former executives or business owners so they run the club that way. The 3 new board members are the ones we voted for and the new president is one of the nicest people we have gotten to know here (he formerly owned a large business).

I made that TikTok feta/pasta recipe which is so easy last night but added extra tomatoes and baby spinach. Easy, tasty, and there are leftovers for a couple more meals. Yeah! It was warm enough last night that we could eat out on the lanai for the first time in a couple of months.

Today looks like it will be warm and sunny. The water on the marina is completely still this morning so is reflecting the homes and boats around it. Very picturesque.

Beach Club today, maybe on the sand vs poolside. Tonight we are going to the best rated restaurant in town as we have a gift certificate which my SIL gave us for Christmas. Loving that warm weather has returned. DD, the forecast going way out looks great too.

Have a tranquil Tuesday!

When my MIL died she also did not have one child in her will because of a large loan she had given him at the time the will was drawn. By the time she died, he had paid off the loan so her other children all agreed to split the estate equally including the missing son (they inherited per the will terms, then each child wrote a check to the missing one). Thank goodness there was no animosity around it.

It really easy to overlook these details. When FIL passed away, there was a life insurance policy that did not list my youngest SIL as she did not exist when he took out the policy. Luckily she has nice siblings and they gave her her rightful share of the policy. A divorced Uncle died, and he had left a huge life insurance policy in his former wife's name. (Not part of the settlement). Did he just forget? I think not. I think he wanted her to have it. But whatever his intention, it sure angered his evil second wife!
