I have my Christmas stuff up until tomorrow so one more night to enjoy it.

Love today's alliteration Liz! Hope you have a fun NYE with your friends,
141.3, exactly the same again. I've decided to go back to the 5 mg shot this coming Thursday and then take another 5 mg the following Wednesday before we leave for Hawaii (still holding out hope travel plans won't be thwarted). I'll skip a dose the second week in Hawaii and then let the scale dictate how to proceed once we get home.
Apps, wine, and charcuterie all purchased for tonight's festivities. DC1 bummed that they are not invited. I feel bad that they don't have friends of their own to hang with but we need our own social life too! I think they will end up going to the local gay bar that is sure to have a drag show tonight.
All that is left to do is some final house cleaning. I kept the inside Christmas decorations up since they are more festive. Will tear them down after tomorrow.
Happy New Year's TT! Love you all!

Our friends arrived just after 2 yesterday so we had a very late lunch at around 3:30. Cheese and crackers for dinner, then early to bed. They said they are usually up at 5, but it is 7:30 now and we still haven't seen them. They were exhausted by their 2 day drive and we were still tired from our travel day.
The plan today is to go out for lunch, then to the woman-run cider brewery I like so much. We have NYE dinner reservations at 8 at the Beach Club so will probably have some Cavo (in lieu of champagne) after we dress up fancy and before we leave. Odds are we won't be up until midnight. Especially since our friends need to be on the road by 6 am.
I just checked my weight against a year ago and I am 35 pounds lighter. Thank you tirzepatide!
Have a Toasting Tuesday!

Definitely seems like chicken feet should be for dogs only...

So, so sorry about your friend. When people our age die whether suddenly or not it really does remind us how life is not guaranteed so we better live it to its fullest.
Has DH had an MRI before? If not and he is anxious about the process does he have Valium? I have had 3 - the first one without it, but I freaked out the second time and had to be rescheduled after I got a prescription, so I won't do them without. My SIL has brain MRIs about every 6 months and she can do it without a sedative but I don't know how. Or is DH mostly just anxious about the results?

I will have to try the book - I didn't love the musical story.

DD and DH really have the same movie taste - so much fun for them to be able to enjoy a movie and discuss it afterwards!

I was going to say, I buy them for the dogs. They are viewed as a delicacy by the dogs!
Chicken feet story: In Brazil, another American girl who was also an exchange student and I got together, and she told me her host family served boiled chicken feet and they ate them sort of how you suck the juice out of lobster legs. A few days later, I opened our fridge and saw a bowl of chicken feet. Me: Oh no, I am going to have to suck it up and eat them or it would be rude. Just then my host Mom walked in and I timidly asked, Are these for dinner? She laughed and said, no those are for the dogs. Whew! Don't know what was going on with that other family...
