Only 4 more days left Liz, that time has gone fast! Justice will be happy to have you home!

125 even on the scale. Lowest point of my range. Maybe my anxiousness regarding my upticks in weight was unwarranted. Still having food noise though. Right now it is the Dove ice cream bar in the freezer that is calling my name!

Bible study was good today. I?m back to leading it after missing the last 2 weeks helping my Mom before and after her toe amputation.

Yucky weather again today. DH suggested a nap and I think that sounds perfect (after I eat a Dove ice cream bar!).

Still need to replenish some of my card supply from the last art fair. I ordered a few new bigger prints too to replace the ones that were sold and two that were damaged. DH dropped one and a light one blew off the tent wall. I?m actually surprised there hasn?t been more pieces damaged in transit or while displaying at an art fair. I do wrap the pictures in ?envelopes ? I make from that silver bubble wrap insulation stuff you might wrap around pipes and/or water heaters and such. I have to make some more of those for the art work too. I?m staring to transition from less WI/MI artwork to more FL/tropical stuff. The flowers can be sold anywhere!

Not knowing the day of the week may become commonplace now that you are retired! DH was just commenting on this yesterday!

Your trip sounds fabulous so far, rich in history! Enjoy your down day! A nap sounds wonderful! Cool temps and grey skies here, I think a snuggle and nap with the pups and DH sounds perfect!

We pull ours on a little trailer. Works well for us. Yes, trying to get them on and off of a big SUV was difficult!

Good morning! Liz, I had started a post, but got interrupted by lunch schedule.

Here it is 1:30 pm. We have breakfasted, toured the Kinderdijk windmills, returned to sun on the boat's upper deck with a cappuccino, and have lunched! I find that there is a lot of food centered activity on this vacation. Both my brother and Ron are "foodies" of sorts (as am I, but I feel somewhat redeemed these days...LOL). While I don't feel I'm over eating, I do feel like I'm eating more than I would at home, and lord knows, that can be worrisome. I resolved to eat as I saw fit on this trip, but I can feel my eating disorder wanting to lash out. The first order of the dysfunction says, "Don't indulge!" If I follow that instinct what follows is the Tantrum, Pity Party, and then the What the **** Just Eat (everything in sight) phase. Not wanting to go that route, I'm opting to eat everything in moderation. The sleeve and tirzepatide and my safety nets.

We had a very good tour guide for the windmill excursion. She looked to be in her early 20s, was knowledgeable, and very well spoken. The windmill history was interesting to me. I didn't realize the original purpose of the windmills in the Netherlands was to pump water out of the canals to the higher elevated rivers. Windmills stay in families for generations - even though the windmills themselves are owned by the local government. In Kinderdijk there are 19 windmills. 18 still function and are inhabited by "millers". The 19th is now a museum. The tour fees and souvenir sales pay for the upkeep of each windmill (about 15K Euros per year for each windmill).

We are having a travel day, so not much to do. I am planning a nap and then an afternoon coffee on our little balcony. Today is relaxation day. Okay by me. My thigh muscles in my left leg are a little sore. We logged 13+ miles over the two days in Amsterdam. Being a tad sore makes sense!

I'm so relaxed and discombobulated from what seems like a lost day due to the long flight from San Francisco to Amsterdam, that I am having to work to remember what the heck day of the week it is! I'm not sure I like that!

I really can't remember the last time I ate pancakes. Not a fan of them either. They're like thick clouds with no flavor and lots of calories from the syrup you have to slaver on them just to have something to taste.

What a deserving paean that is to the professional life you chose for yourself. You're one of the goodest ones!

119.4

I thought I would see a posting already from Peps this morning like yesterday since he is so many hours ahead in his day. Hopefully that means he is having a fun day!

We had the usual day yesterday doing a lot of nothing, then went out to dinner at that older, expensive restaurant. My fish was about the best I have had but both DH and our friends were disappointed with their meals. A very expensive not great meal though the atmosphere is really nice.

DS is on the road today to pick Justice up and bring him to our Cape house. His birthmother and stepsister on that side are staying with him for a couple of days this weekend so he can show them that part of Cape Cod. His birthmother is familiar with where my house was because her parents had houses there and she has lived in that area for the last 15 years. DH's part of the Cape is very different with Cape Cod bay on one side and the National Seashore on the other. DS worked and lived within a few miles of DH when he first came back to Massachusetts after working in California following college. Of course we didn't know DH then.

DH just left to go fishing this morning. He and 3 of our friends chartered a boat for the morning. I am doing my usual walk and water aerobics this morning while they are gone. Not sure what we will do for dinner tonight as this is the last unplanned night. We have 4 nights left here.

Have a theme full Thursday!

This spring has not had consistently good weather anywhere.

Jealous that you went kayaking. I brought mine to DH's Cape house but we need to figure out how to get them around - he doesn't have a pond within kayak walking distance like I did. We are thinking of putting a hitch on his Jeep and buying a utility trailer to pull them around. Neither of us can manage a roof rack which is what I used to use when I was young.

Thank you! It means the world to me if I made a kid feel seen and valuable.
