Good idea! Is there a senior center in the area? They will often have activities even as mild as men's coffee time where isolated folks can meet others and get some talk time.

Those last years with TOM stink. I had a break of almost a year then a restart too, but then it stopped again shortly after and it was sayonara. I actually knew it was done that time before the year was up because I had other changes like some extra hair growth on my face where I never had it previously.

You are lucky that the bruising is minimal. I did everything they said to do but still had a fair amount of bruising. I just looked at my old pictures. It took about 2 weeks for the swelling to be at a point that I didn't look totally weird (though it was still there a bit). It was a full month before the bruising was reduced enough that heavy duty makeup wasn't necessary. Probably 6 weeks before all signs were pretty much gone.

I agree with DD - I usually stop them because my belly gets so uncomfortable.
