If my parents wanted to move the Christmas celebrations to Florida when they had a house there, I would have loved it!
121 even! Up .8 in a day! Still good though!
Went to the early service at church this morning. More people than last week. We talked with the pastor a bit beforehand and he told us weekly attendance is mid 300's between the two services including the kids program. A smaller church from what we have been attending but maybe easier to connect with people. I think we will continue here unless God knocks us over our heads to go somewhere else.
Cloudy with a chance of rain today. Not sure what we will do. Perhaps use the gift certificate for Bonefish grill we got at the gift exchange on Friday. Seafood is always welcome!
Dinner with your neighbor friends sounds fun Liz! Hope we find those kind of friendships here. Everyone we have met has been friendly.
Bitter cold back in WI. Honestly not looking forward to the trip back except for seeing the kids. We've already discussed not going back next year. If we're going to spend the money on travel and renting an Air Bnb that houses us all, we would rather do it in the summer when we can enjoy time and activities outside with the kids. They can come visit us in FL if they want to spend the Holidays with Mom and Dad. Would be happy to host!
119.4 - yikes! Not a surprise though as the meal at our friend's home was delicious and I had quite a bit. What a lovely home they have with a lot of the furniture bought through FB marketplace and consignment shops. The wife had some pieces slip covered and painted some of the furniture. Really nice - she has a real talent for decorating. And she loves to cook and have dinner parties. We did a lot of talking and laughing and suddenly realized after 4.5 hours that it was time to go home because it was past our bedtime. Luckily it was basically just across the street.
Today we have a Nine and Dine this afternoon. That will be fun though we will miss the second half of the critical Patriots game - the most important so far this year.
But first, the bus leaves for breakfast at 7:30, followed by a Justice walk. Have a sugarplum Sunday!

Great that it wasn't too uncomfortable and you like the results (if not the smell LOL). I hope the OTC lidocaine cream that I bought works as well as the stuff you had when I get the next Evenity shots. They really hurt!

Those blowup things look especially bad during the day when many people unplug them and they are lying on the ground like dead bodies.
Pot roast sounds good again. Maybe I will make it up north when we will need something comforting to eat.

I'm glad it won't be as cold when we go up north - highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s. It does look like there will be snow on the ground though as it is snowing there now. Hopefully not so much as to make it difficult to get into the house on Tuesday. At least we arrive early in the day so can see what's up.
Chuckling a bit a envisioning you chasing the sunny spots in your home.

My skin gets upset by some things (some sunscreens or anti-aging products get sting-ey), but apparently you can run over it again and again with a razor blade to no ill-effect! I was trying to equate what it feels like now to other sensations. It's a bit like if there was menthol on it? Not at all irritated, but cool and tingly.
I have a whole non burning routine for Florida, that involves setting a timer for sun without sunscreen and then applying, and not reapplying if it's past 3 pm etc. but I would guess if you're not hell bent on getting a tan in 5 days, it's easier to avoid the burn. You are quickly becoming a native Floridian. And the dogs too : )
I've never done facials. You all are giving me ideas about things I didn't even know existed! Fillers, black carbon etc. I have done the derma planing myself with a tool I bought, and it does feel so nice, especially after using lotions and potions. My daughter just cringes when I tell her I derma plane myself because she has the kind of skin that get angry if she uses too rough of a wash cloth. My skin is very nonreactive. I credit the saunas of my youth.
