One board meeting down yesterday, one to go today. We got more rain yesterday. Monsoon season is the best in AZ! Huge double rainbow at sunset too.

Today is shot day. Down a measly 0.2 pounds for what looked at the beginning of the week like a promising one. Still haven't passed the 40 pound mark. Oh well. Maybe this week!

Today I need to pack and tidy. We leave tomorrow morning. Not much food left in the house so I have been cobbling odd meals together. I suppose that's the beauty of living by yourself. No expectations on what is considered a "meal."

I also have a few errands to run today, which I would like to get out of the way this morning.

I still haven't told my folks about the tirzepatide or weight loss. I really have zero interest in surprising them as that feels awkward, but so does saying, hey I might look thinner getting off the plane. I had a good opportunity yesterday when I was talking to them. My dad mentioned they both feel "bulbous", the family term for feeling fat. I almost said something, but couldn't spit it out. Blerg.

Not much else I can think of. Off to get to it!

150.4

Sounds like a plan and, what's even better, moving along most nicely. So funny about installing the closet shelf dividers. Guilty here, too- finding small home improvement projects undone that we are putting up now....several I'd forgotten about. Carry on!

Good news on PT, always reassuring to the "don't worry about causing injury " point, and just focus on strength and flexibility.

There was quite a storm come through very early this morning with several inches of rain. Corn farmers are ecstatic. Me, I'm watching for the weeds to mount a massive offensive- no time for those shenanigans..

Today is Main level clearing..inside closets, window seats, built ins, and...and...and will try to be very detached as I go.

When finished I hope to have a very wellbeseen space.

Sending positive juju to all

I am looking forward to my injection tomorrow. Lots of hunger yesterday. Luckily I still can't eat a lot at one time. I tried to make my snacks have some value. I had bought some Quest chips which have 19g protein per bag.

PT was good yesterday - she says I made a lot of progress. I am now able to work on full mobility and strengthening as all should be fully healed and past the point of worrying about tendon detachment. Until now I have been restricted on movement behind my back and not allowed to lift anything heavier than a coffee cup. I ordered some small weights from Amazon for my future home sessions. I still have almost 2 months of PT upcoming but it is nice to be moving up in difficulty.

The power washing of the front of the house is done. All closets are finished. The one in my bedroom looks great! I should have done it sooner. Several years ago I bought panels to divide the top shelf into sections so it would keep my sweatshirts, leggings and other similar gear in neat piles. I finally installed them and what a difference it makes visually. And with the pared down clothing and shoes on racks, it almost looks spacious.

Today the dumpster arrives so we can clear out the basement junk staged in the garage and start straightening it in a day or 2. I want to finish the other basement storage room today which mostly involves sorting out hazardous cleaners/plant stuff from latex paints that I have to pour kitty litter into. One basement closet also needs some heavy cleaning as it had gotten pretty messy after a previous water leak. I will also neaten up kitchen cabinets in the next few days. After that it is mostly just going room to room to remove personal items and excess furniture pieces.

We think we may be able to get it on the market by mid-July vs. my original goal of August 1. The timing is good because we can move with Justice, DS, and the cat to DH's house while the house is shown as DH's family won't be using his Cape house for 3 weeks. DS and cat move into their apartment at the end of those 3 weeks.

Tonight we go off-Cape to meet DH's sisters for dinner. Time to get cracking! Have a wellbeseen Wednesday!

Down another pound. This is crazy! 6 pounds in 9 days! I'm sure it will slow down soon.

Im having a hard time finishing a smoothie. Today I made it with a triple Oikos yogurt, a scoop of whey isolate, ice and 1 cup of almond milk. I maybe drank half and then had to put in the fridge for later. Had a protein bar for lunch and then a Hello Fresh pork bowl (I was able to eat maybe a 1/2 portion. I did have my 2 squares of Lindt 70% dark chocolate. I think I had a hint of nausea today, much like I had in early pregnancy where I just didn't feel much like eating but was far from puking my guts out. Calories just over 1,000 for the day. Still need to add some cardio and resistance training to my getting healthier plan.

We had a hot one today, not much time outside. Got my hair cut in the morning, made a Costco run, DC came over, took a short nap (storms kept me up last night with my high anxiety dog), made dinner and here I am rocking my phone on the couch while DH snoozes by me and DC rocks his phone. I guess I did print off some pictures for an upcoming art fair too today!

OH is giving all kinds of gateway errors...

They emailed me back and they filled my prescription, but Hallandale can't ship to MI, so they are switching me to Empower pharmacy until I get back to AZ. Their shipping is running long (7-9 days) so it will take a little longer. I have an extra week of the 7.5, so it should be okay. I did call the local grocery store (Meijer) and Costco, but they don't have Zepbound in 10mg, so I will stick with the compound for now!

When I changed states, HenryMeds had me meet with a Massachusetts NP to get a new prescription based in Massachusetts.

I feel the same about clothes especially since I am hard to fit! People say, "don't keep them or you're giving yourself permission to go back into them." I don't think that's true. I think we're realistic. Everyone hopes and prays to never need larger pants again, but when you are late for an event and nothing fits, emergency pants are a blessing.

I feel bad for that man's tough start in life, but even more so that he carries bitterness and grievances above all else.

So much for purging and decluttering, I just returned from shopping again. 3 pairs of pants, a light jacket, a shirt and a dress. I will try to justify these new expenditures by insisting I did indeed need new pants after a 40 pound loss. The dress was just because I wanted it. :)

I know the prevailing wisdom is when you lose weight, purge your too big clothes. After my surgery, I consigned a lot as I moved through sizes. And I do purge frequently because something is showing wear, or doesn't suit me anymore. However, it may be unwise, but I am packing away my too big pants. Nice, well fitting pants are always the struggle as I go up in size. My sincerest hope and desire is to NOT ever need them again, but this journey has shown me that detours happen. So should I have regain, at least my bottom will be covered while I work to lose it again.

My weight is holding steady, I'm working on the protein everyday and trying to challenge myself ( old lady style, nothing crazy) when I work out. I'm feeling really good. Apparently there is something to this healthy eating, adequate sleep and consistent exercise. Who knew?
