Nice night yesterday with DH's daughter and son-in-law listening to an Irish session. We were home at 9:30 and in bed immediately since we both were awake at 4 am.
I signed the listing agreement yesterday so it is official. We are waiting for a date/time for the photographer, then the listing goes up. We (DH, DS, cat, dog and me) move to DH's house this weekend after hiding all counter clutter and removing all traces of animals. I fixed a drippy shower yesterday and am in the process of replacing a rotted screen door for the screen porch. Once my friend paints the cupola, our housekeeper cleans on Friday and a last straightening is done in the garage we are done with this phase of work. Hopefully the moving phase can be delayed until early October after the wedding. My broker said that lately a lot of sellers who have a specific date in mind are closing earlier and renting back for the extra time to lock in deals. I'd be fine with that.
I am trying to book a one week trip to our Florida home at the end of the month. Tricky timing as it has to be after the work in our living room is done and before my daughter's dress fitting.
Today is my town's annual street fair. The entire downtown area is blocked to traffic and 4 rows of booths run for the length. it is held the Wednesday of the week following July 4 every year. There is a group of 7-8 of us going who will meet for an early lunch at one of the downtown restaurants. I don't really want to buy anything but maybe I will see something for the wedding.
Time to get motivated. Have a witeless Wednesday!

4 inches! Now, that's significant progress . Moving on over to the "buff" side of of the clothing aisle is super satisfying. Once again... well done and carry on.
NSV!!! Okay, I'm so happy! I took a deep breath and ordered pants that were 4 inches smaller in the waist than what I had bought previously. OMG!!! THEY FIT COMFORTABLY!
I am having a Terrific Tirzepatide Tuesday!
Greetings all
It's cooled off here. Thats more like it! It should be illegal to be too hot. Wearing my usual long sleeved tee shirts. I don't do the short sleeved ones often because I have "lunch lady arms". You all know what that means.
Scrabble this morning. I beat the Shark right off the bat but then lost the next two games. Oh well. I can only beat the Shark if I have exceptionally good luck on draws which I did today. Then I got my weekly cheeseburger and went to the bank, art supply store, and finally the studio. Did some glazing and clean up of dry items. All these errands are a big day for me but I feel pretty good and not like a wreck. More evidence that minimal exercise might actually be a good idea.
Ocean D glad you made it home safely with the rough tide. No taking chances with the ocean or tides - Mother Nature is totally in charge. Good that you have someone know your plans. People get lost in the woods all the time around here with failure to share plans. Not cool. All that paddling sounds sublime and we are glad that you get to do it and that shoulder is being good.
Paula that dinner sounds great. I forget to do lettuce cups but it's a super idea. Lettuce by itself is worthless but with some meat items and sauce it's super. Might be time to make BLT's with no bread.
Costco chicken tonight after same last night. We will eat it every night until we are sick of it at which time the dogs get a bonanza. They also get the skin.
Still watching "Tehran". It's really intriguing. Hard to stop.
Liz onward on the house. Yep prices are ridiculous. My first house cost $40,000 and no it was not a trailer.
Scrabble friend gave me a bunch of old towels that she needed rid of. Took them to the pet rescue and they were thrilled. The towels really seemed in good shape. Good thing DH did not see them or he would have tried to keep them.
CC looks like Kirby is having a blast at the lake. I bet he is swimming like a fool by the end of the summer.
Cheers. Diane S
Oh I am so enjoying my slow day at home. You know those little random thoughts that float through your mind: we need a new soap dispenser, I should get the roomba back on!ine, I need to sort my books into read, keep and donate etc. I've ordered, sorted and puttered and its lovely.
This morning I sauteed onions, green and red peppers and olives. I put it in the fridge after taking a couple tablespoons to make a Greek omelet, along with some feta. Tomorrow, the rest of the sauteed vegetables are waiting, so more eggs in my future. I did better on protein yesterday, I had a shrimp appetizer for dinner, and I managed to drink at least one protein shake. It's a tiny bit of a chore to get out the blender, but I do enjoy the shake much more whirled with half a banana and ice.
I had a good workout yesterday, so I think I'm okay with staying home today. Hopefully taking care of things in and outside the house is at least activity.
Enjoy your smaller clothes! One thing I hadn't thought of until I lost a significant amount of weight, is smaller clothes take up less space when traveling.
I concur with Mark Twain when he said the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco. We visited in August, and I thought I was prepared having spent a good part of my youth in Duluth, "the air conditioned city". Brrr. I was so cold at night, despite my many layers. I hope you have exceptionally nice weather this evening.
