We had a really nice lunch at the resort up the road. somehow I'd never taken my folks there before. They were very slow to come out of their covid rules about non-guests coming to the restaurants and they used to make it hard with having to email and wait for a reply you may or may not get. Now they are on Open Table (at least for the moment!). Anyway, the food is good and the setting is stunning. And it's only 5 minutes away!

After we walked the dog and then passed on dinner because of the big lunch. Then football, which they mercifully left the living room to watch in their room at half-time. DD, my sympathies to your husband! We were rooting for the Vikings because my dad really likes Sam Darnold (he's a huge USC fan so roots for all of the players in the NFL). It was a painful game watch.

More sun and dry weather here. Not a cloud in the long range forecast. A little concerning. Today is cleaning chores and a dog walk.

Take care!

121.6 Sitting around here in the cold and munching on stuff in boredom is NOT good. Last time I weighed in at this was 9/1 when I was on the way down. Not good.

Yesterday as mentioned in the previous paragraph was boring. DH got the kids off to school in the morning, we took a short walk around the neighborhood and froze, went out for lunch (phenomenal Reuben), hung around reading and watching TV all afternoon, then ran granddaughter around to late afternoon/evening activities grabbing a quick dinner out while she was at the gym. Sleep was very elusive last night. So I'm not in any kind of a celebratory mood this morning.

Today is somewhat similar. DH will drive granddaughter to school, we will walk the dogs, then I will hang around for a few hours while DH goes out to lunch with an old friend. The granddaughter's Dad will pick her up this afternoon and both kids eat dinner at his house tonight so DH and I are on our own until they are dropped off around 8-9.

Which reminds me, since when did kid's activities start extending to 7 or so in the evening? I feel like my kids were done by 5-6 so the family had some chance to have dinner together, then the kids could do homework and relax. These kids seem to be busy from 7 am until 7 pm or later every day! Sure makes me appreciate being retired.

Time to warm up my coffee. Have a tranquil Tuesday!

My legs are pretty bad and were previously too. No thigh lift for me. I think my face has evened out okay, though I do have to think about whether to do something about updating my facelift in a couple of years maybe. But not for the $50K Ann was quoted.

My tummy tuck was 100% worth it - not as uncomfortable as I had expected and the results made a big difference.

I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have been able to get in the drivers seat at all: What jerks some people are!

I have saggy skin on my knees, too. Drives me nuts, but what's a boy to do? Just go with it. I have bat wings and inner thigh wiggly jigglies that look like a low hanging camel toe if I squeeze my thighs together! I also have loose skin hanging over the waist line of my pants. It's not fat or love handles - just loose ass skin. But guess what? I embrace it because it means I'm losing weight, and more importantly fat! Do I really love it? Of course not. BUT, I have convinced myself to look beneath the layer of loose at the muscle definition I have gained from working out. I am finding the parts the I really love, like me shoulders and upper chest and arms. Even my legs, which I have despised most of my life, are appendages of pride these days. I have definition that won't quit in my calves and am starting to get definition on my upper legs!

You are going to be 60 this year. You look marvelous. There is absolutely no way any of us can resemble a gorgeous 25-40 year old at 60. It's simply not possible. Love who you are today and work to improve to become your best self. In the meantime, look forward to that tummy tuck! Nothing wrong with that either!

Edit to add: And, if I decide to have skin removal, I will do that without shame, too! I'm going to celebrate ME in this final 3rd of my existence here. And for me that includes looking good and feeling good about that!
