I'm alive, I'm alive! Work on the home proceeds here apace. I've been doing more errands around town (picking up stuff, making decisions about everything from drawer pulls to wallpaper, etc.) and just not available much to be online.

The big news I have to report is that we now have the world's fanciest (and likely priciest) toilet that raises the lid, turns on its light, washes you clean with warm water after you have done your business, dries your nether regions, flushes itself, lowers the lid and turns off the lights, and for all I know styles your hair if you ask it to do that for you. Needless to say, we are both learning a lot about the joys of bidet'hood. DH is infatuated beyond belief, and I just think it's ridiculous.

This part of the world is now gearing up for the Big Event of the Year--Derby Week! I dunno what we're going to be doing, although I'm sure that bourbon and parties will on the agenda. Obviously, we won't be entertaining, since we'll either be moving our furniture in that week or just about to move our furniture the following week. Next year we'll put on the dog.

I haven't even had time to read the past week's postings here, which I hope to do this weekend. I hope everyone is doing well, that your loved ones are well, that your travels have been without incident, and that your weight has been stable. Xoxoxo

120.6 - unchanged since yesterday

Golf yesterday was fun - not my best game, nor my worst. If I could putt decently I would improve my game immensely. But my feet were killing me from the golf shoes. I have bunions and hammertoes (aka old lady feet), so even shoes which are rated high for comfort can hurt my feet. These seem to be hurting more and more. So... I ordered AllBirds golf shoes after reading several reviews. Their sneakers are really the only ones I can wear for an extended period of time so I bit the bullet. They cost about $50 more than the ones which are going to a donation bin but I just don't think I can put them on again.

Yoga today, then I'm not sure what we will do. Maybe beach again for a while. Dinner is likely out somewhere.

DH is playing in a senior men's golf tournament both weekend days so I will just be hanging around. Maybe doing some sort of project... Probably should find a place to donate some clothing and the golf shoes. I do need to get DH's very old laptop on the new network. It is too old to connect wirelessly.

Listening (and walking) to Tina sounds like a good idea. I will have to ask Alexa for some Tina Turner music today. I always picture her all dressed up onstage with those incredible legs even when she was our age.

144.who knows what. The digital scales want new batteries so am using Kurt's parents mechanical scales (circa 1950). Very accurate and consistent if used correctly- not shifting to skew the reading. Only reason I don't use it regularly is that the dial is a bit difficult to read. Built to last, for sure.

Took a while to catch up on posts...have I been missing that long? Looks like lots of great news...Way to go, Devon, with the scale weight...Slipping into the 1xxx's is a sure thing-no doubt about it! I think, like cholesterol, there is ok fat (called brown fat) and then there is the visceral fat (the chicken fat) which you do want to melt away.

Liz, so glad DD labs came out with no concerning issues. Praying those reproductive issues get balanced and regulated...she will feel so much better.

The days seem to be whizzing by so quickly as of late...so much small stuff occurring and I can't seem to catch up. Trying to remember to have some gratitude for being able to do this and that ...hopefully I will be one of those venerable, graceful older souls who will be able to continue doing right up to the end.
