Yay! Your house is your own again!

I wish I could do the backcombing thing but my hair is so fine and straight it resists all backcombing or curling. A regular ponytail or on the side is just about the only variation my hair is capable of.

Post a pic of the outfit! Are you good at backcombing? You could make a bouffant for glorious Barbie hair.

Nephew accelerated the move out! He and his kids stopped by last night to pick up more stuff. BFF went with them to the condo because she takes care of them Tuesdays and Wednesdays while nephew is at work. Then she works the other 5 days a week. I could not do it. I could take care of grandchildren if needed, but at 64, I couldn't also work full-time. We planned our lives differently I guess.

So it is very quiet here, and I can get into my office/closet again! And have free run of my kitchen. Kid foods removed from my fridge and freezer and I can find my stuff again!

Plans today include working out, some paperwork tasks like submitting receipts to my flex spending account, trying a new recipe (which requires a trip to the grocery store) and walking from my bedroom to bathroom with whatever attire or lack of it I desire. Oh the simple pleasures.

116.8

Planning for the upcoming weekend with my DD and her friends has commenced as they arrive Thursday. This week has been going very fast. Probably because the days have been packed. DH has golfed every other day, usually on a day when I have something like water aerobics.

Today I finally get my hair highlighted and cut. It is the highlighting that is mostly needed since I have 3 months of darker roots. At least I don't have much gray and what I do have makes that part look somewhat highlighted but I'm not a fan of the dark root look. The ends do need to be cleaned up but I'm going to keep growing it until I (or it) decides to stop. Tonight there is a Ladies Night out at the Beach Club with a Barbie theme. I am wearing all pink with these goofy pink shoes I got from Amazon. Haven't decided what to do with the hair yet. Maybe a side ponytail? The husbands of my 2 friends and I are going to hang out and drive us back and forth to the event. The club started doing these once a month last summer and they have been a big hit. They don't do them the rest of the year because there are too many people so I'm glad I can go to this one. Wouldn't mind ditching the theme though.

But first a Justice walk. Have a tuneful Tuesday!

It's really good that your DH can keep up with that technology and be challenged. I worked in IT and my brainwaves in that area are definitely going down the tubes because they aren't exercised. I can troubleshoot if I have to but it is SO difficult (but all of it is beyond my DH).

Greetings all

Mixed day here. It is overcast in our town right now but nearby it was sunny. We went to the accountants to sign our completed tax returns. Holy tax bill Batman! Next years estimates will be ugly. Oh well. After that it was bank deposits and time in the studio. I have a bunch of business details to track down including the departure of one shareholder and projected staff raises. After that it was a quick trip to the grocery for hamburgers tonight.

Liz I can't believe how much you guys travel!! Good on you for getting out and about. Interesting about your motor mouth friend. Some people just do that. Never thought of Asbergers as a reason for that but makes sense. Enjoy Mexican.

DD thinking of you and Peps and how you are NOT preparing for a school year. Enjoy and enjoy the Elvis gospel. Aretha has a great gospel album too. See how fun a Monday can be?

Peps sorry Lucky seized. No fun. Is there any med that will stop it? Old Chip was on an anti seizure medication the last couple months of his life but he was 16 and probably had a brain tumor. Wishing you some rest. Dog duty can be demanding.

Congrats Paula on the good medical results. Yeah I am shrinking too. We all are. Seems like weight should also shrink at the same time. Why is that? Eat your ice cream!

DH went to his tech challenged friend to install a new printer. His friends think he is a super hero because he can do all this tech stuff. And he is, so long as it is Apple stuff. His sister in LA wants him to fix some microsoft stuff and I can see the battle coming. Yikes, 10 days until that trip and I am totally not prepared..

I'm 5ft 5 1\2 inches. That half inch comes and goes these days. Last physical I got it back! What I find funny is sometimes after work, I had to readjust my rear view mirror when I was leaving. Did I shrink at work? Talk about stress weighing you down.

122.1, I'm generally hanging in this area. I did take my shot on Thursday, at 10 days out but reduced it to 1 mg. I think I will skip the week before surgery too as that is the general recommendation I see in the GLP 1 community.

Today is warm and cloudy. Tomorrow we are supposed to get more rain.

I had my annual physical today and all my labs are perfect! Yay! Sadly, I lost 1/4 inch in height. They measured me at 5 feet 3 1/4. I was at 5 4 at one point! Pre-op physical next Monday! Getting close!!!

DH is golfing today so I had to take the DH walk without him. Picked up the pace a little more and got my heart rate up! He doesn't like to walk as fast as I do and he has long legs!!!

Liz, I like the mindset of having FL as your home base and visiting the Cape as you like in the summer! I wonder where we will be visiting if/when our home base is in FL. I think the kids will be living in 4 different cities and possibly 3 different states!

DD, so nice that August can be relaxing for you. No need to have to ready yourself for the school year! Glad you were able to have uninterrupted porch time!

Peps, sorry about Lucky's seizures! That must be scary. I always hate when something is wrong with one of the dogs and they can't tell us what it is!

Hopefully it won't be that severe for Lucky. My youngest daughter has a genetic form of epilepsy (Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy). In the beginning she just had random arm or leg jerks. They got really bad in her last year of college which was when it was diagnosed. Unfortunately has had quite a few grand mal seizures since she turned 30 some of which were very scary for her when she woke up from them. They changed her medication a couple of years ago and she hasn't had one since. But she doesn't drive long distances anymore.
