I would have loved to have seen your house! Sounds like a neat old farmhouse.
Second shot in last night. Can't feel the needle at all. Slight burning afterwards but not for long at all.
Spent the day cleaning DCs - 4 hours for a 10x20 kitchen! Made dinner, did DCs laundry, made up the guest room with clean linens after Mom's visit and have a webinar at 7, so quite a busy day.
Have not eaten much today since I skipped lunch while away cleaning. I think I will have some dried mangos (last BM was a little stubborn) and try and get some more protein in via a yogurt. Didn't feel hungry at all today but not nauseous or having food aversions either.
Molly and I rolled in just before 2 AM. She pottied, romped, and settled down by about 2:20. I flossed and brushed teeth and tumbled in to bed. Woke up at 5:30, 6:30 and again at 7:30. At that point, I thought, what the hell and just got up. I feel a nap coming on.
I am up a pound after a full 6 days on the road. I will admit, yesterday was not a food is fuel day. Nope, not at all. It was more of a dog show, road trip, comfort food day! However, I am 100% okay with the scale number as I certainly was not eating for weight loss while at Disneyland or the long dog show weekend. The pound up is undoubtably fluid retention. My ankles are a bit thicker than what has become normal.
To combat road fatigue on the way home I drank not one, but two Red Bulls! LOL! Those kept me nice and wide awake until about 1 AM. The last hour of the drive I was a bit tired, but certainly not fall-asleep-at-the-wheel tired.
Today, I do feel the effects of the long drive. I am not sure if at our age it truly takes longer to recover, or if as we have aged our wisdom prevails and insists that we allow ourselves the luxury of a recovery period. I am sitting here feeling uninspired, but I know that if I had had to teach today, I could have done it! Maybe it's just a fine line. I choose to believe that I have more energy than most my age! LOL!
NSV - I saw some dog show photos people took of me ringside. I was actually pleased by my appearance - especially my legs. Never thought I'd be saying that since I see my legs as way too short and too thick!
Okay.... I am fading.... time to nap!
I have used haul away guys in the past and felt they were totally worth it but DH and DS wanted to do it with a dumpster. Since I am not doing any of the heavy work I agreed.

Greetings all
T minus 9 hours until B day. Arrival of brother. I am as ready as I will ever be. A few chores to check off but nothing too strenuous. Mainly getting studio payroll, hair washing and picking up groceries. I am still concerned about the dogs getting along but oh well. It's overcast and I am hoping that clears in a bit. Looking forward to sharing the wonders of the north coast with brother who is well traveled and very sophisticated and does not know what he is in for. I told DH that if bro got cold we would take him to buy a hoodie but bro would be appalled at buying clothing at the hardware store!
Liz you are a tornado! Amazing what you have accomplished. Don't overdo the shoulder.
CC toto bidet potty!! Agreed that guests would need too much instruction. We had a more basic toto awhile back but it got broken in the bathroom remodel. Now I will go look on line to see what features are available.
DD glad you could spend time with parental units even if they were "the Bickersons". Some couples just have that dynamic. My grandparents really did. You will not. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, enjoy the summer!
We started a new series last night "Brokenwood" on Acorn tv. New Zealand crime detective drama. Pretty good. Found it just perusing titles. No exploding aliens or time travel.
I sure enjoy the tales of trizpepidtdes. One day will get act together.

Golly, I want what ever you're taking! You're a whirlwind when it comes to housing clean up.... I'm done with my part of the outside (save final detail check after Kurt gets his machine shed and such cleared) We we were lucky and just have to make piles (there will be 2 outside and 3 inside, one for each floor). This Saturday, the haul off guys will come and take all of the stuff away by the 8' and 16' x5'x4' trailers at $100 a load. Thought the price reasonable- not having to drag upstairs, downstairs, main level and aways out in the yard to the hauling area makes the service almost Priceless.
Hot Hot and, did I mention Hot today. It's 12:30 and I as well as the dog are done for today. Sorting out the storage room upstairs- an interesting space; back in the day that room was dry goods storage, flours, grains, beans, dried fruits (dehydrated out on the porch roof, then jarred) any thing that was bulky but shelf stable. The basement was for cold storage.
Kurt just came dragging through and off for the shower- guess he's had enough playing in the sun.
Be cool, stay cool, you ARE cool!
I have one of those Totos, though it 10 years old now. I bought it after a trip to Japan, where they were EVERYWHERE. I love it!
I know you and DH are going to do just fine as you age together. You definitely have a very different relationship from your parents
The team work feels largely because of my "disability". I can't do much so DH and DS have to step in. I would actually prefer handling more.

So intimidating! That's why I'm only swapping out my personal toilet so as not to have to give a PowerPoint presentation to guests before they use the powder room. I am going to have to study the manual for myself! International pictorial representations on buttons often go over my head!
Those fancy toilets are amazing, but also a little intimidating if you're not used to them. A friend's Mom has one in the guest bath, and I'm always worried I'm going to press the wrong button and a brass band will start playing or something, and everyone will know I'm uncouth and can't operate the fancy toilet!
