The birthday party last night was really fun and quite elaborate (at the clubhouse). There were probably about 100 people there. We expected just a ****tail hour but there was that plus a full dinner (sliders, salads and sushi). The husband made a short but very touching toast to his wife who was turning 60. Their 2 daughters and a son-in-law were here for the party too. She was completely surprised. Nice night.
And we stayed up past 11, so we were able to sleep until 6:15 this morning. Maybe the time shift won't be so bad...
Today we may go to the beach club, then probably do leftovers. DH is golfing with a friend who is just starting to play at 4:30. Easier to get out on the course if you don't feel you are holding anyone up.
The bus leaves as usual on Sunday at 7:30 so I better get changed. Have a successful Sunday!

I like to snuggle under warm blankets too so I use the AC to drop the temperature quite a bit at night here.

Do you think it may be just the calorie restriction affecting libido vs the medication? I haven't noticed any difference. I just googled it and it sounds like there is no definitive research about that yet. Maybe it differs from person to person just as side-effects do?

A girl! So exciting, but agree that it is weird these days for a doctor to get it wrong at first.

So you are going to wait for the backordered one at this point? I used to have two full refrigerators and had both freezers full. I felt like I never really knew what was in there and periodically had to throw out stuff that was frozen for too long so eventually gravitated to just having one. Though I do prefer a sizeable one in a side-by-side refrigerator. The drawers in the French door refrigerators (we have one here) do not seem to allow for efficient freezer use.

Nice that the scale cooperated. DH hadn't weighed in a long time because he said he would just measure by his clothes. I commented that his shirts seemed a little bit roomier but he didn't agree. He finally did stand on the scale and then asked if it was working properly because he was 6.5 pounds less than he thought he was (it works fine).

I had to look up who Varuca Salt was. Sustaining weight loss over a long period is tough especially if you have to work at it. It just gets tiresome after a while. You do look pretty fit in that Halloween picture so maybe you don't need to drop all of that 35?

I kind of forget that Sedona does have a winter. Good suggestion from DD about traveling. My grandmother toured England, Scotland, and Ireland as a single in a group of other singles and she made some great friends.

Raining again and I am calling it officially Fall. Flannel sheets and downy comforters on bed. Love love snuggling into that stuff which partially makes up for the much too early daily darkness.
Saturday laundry and kitchen cleaning done and since everything looked so very nice DH and I put up the last of the season's tomatoes and green peppers into a lovely meat sauce. Too lazy to can so into the deep freeze with it. Had some over a baked sweet potato for supper and it was yummy.
Vegging on sofa watching old Perry Mason episodes with Kurt and, of course falling asleep. Tomorrow looks like an early wake up with the time change (retirement bonus is not having to be on anyone's schedule- so there.)
153.9. Bout the same. Wi**** would start going down again. The only thing I feel I should change is to add exercise. Just can't seem to get that motivation! I don't want to up my med dose as I feel I'm restricting calories just fine.
Last day for the kids to be here. The visit was nice but it will be nice for it to be just us again and not worry about meals and activities for others.
Went out for pizza tonight. Good, I ate my standard 2 slices from a 12 inch thin crust wood grilled pizza with just mushrooms and cheese. I ordered an Old Fashioned but could only drink half (if that) of it. Tirzepatide has really taken my interest for alcohol away. I think it is affecting my libido too which is sad! Makes sense though in how it works!
