The medication is supposed to be stable for a year in an unopened vial. Once opened, it is good for a month. Some pharmacies label it in confusing ways but that is what I have found googling it and reading FB groups - my vials say 1 year. I heard that the patent for semaglutide runs out in 2027, so at least there is some hope for the future. The patent is much further out for tirzepatide unfortunately.

So are you done when you leave for KY next time? Good luck getting it all accomplished. Brings back recent memories...

The month we were in Arizona the dryness of the air made me constantly thirsty and my skin needed lotion multiple times a day. I even needed a saline nasal spray because of it.
I hate really large cars - you can't see past them and like this one they take up way too much space. How rude that they didn't even check to see if they were too close on your side.

152.1. First weigh in it was 152.6, but after some good bathroom time, it dropped (even with breakfast on board). We'll see tomorrow what number holds more true.
Chiily day here, but not at chilly as CC, eeeegads! 29 degrees in AZ! A CD of mine matured. It was meant to go toward a FL property, but now that we are staying put in WI, I just put in back into another 10 month CD. Will come in handy for a tummy tuck come Fall!
DS3 will be home soon. Made him his favorite meatballs with mushroom gravy over rice for dinner ! I like treating them with their favorites when they visit!
No plans for the weekend. DH is back to work tonight, working 12 hour night shifts through Monday.
How interesting that they've offered to let you buy a year's worth of tirz in advance. Does it last that long? I know the semaglutide seems to have a fairly short shelf life. I met with my PA at Henry Meds recently and they didn't say anything about that possibility. Of course, I'm on sema (but I think that is also coming off the shortage list?)...and who knows, it may be illegal to send that mu*****A. We can't even get tirz thru Henry Meds here. I did ask him about oral semaglutide for maintenance, and he thought it would be quite effective, but that's not available in CA either at this point...
UPDATE: I called Henry Meds, and they said semaglutide has not yet officially been taken off the shortage list but that when it does, they will likely offer the same deal of a bulk purchase for existing customers..

Getting stuff done this morning: replacing a torn screen door, getting moving bids, mulching leaves, getting bids for furniture neither I nor family members want, waiting for family members to pick up furniture I'm gifting to them, jacked up my county commissioner about grading my road after the big rains (he actually called me back on a Saturday morning!), and other things I can't think of right now. The checklist is getting shorter every day.
But today's one of those days I'm ready for all this to be over and to be back with my honey. I'll be here in MO all next week packing, cleaning, getting rid of stuff, then head to KY for Thanksgiving week. I can't wait! :)

How can a human being living in society possibly be so inconsiderate?! But what a nice woman that was who helped you engineer your way into the driver's seat.
Moments like these are when I love country roads that leave cars all dusty and muddy, so I can write some pretty predictable words on the driver's rear windows--written BACKWARDS so the driver can read my opinion about them clearly in the rear view mirror.

I got swamped yesterday and forgot to read let alone post! The handyman came and installed my new reverse osmosis filter under the sink. I'm so glad I didn't listen to the instructions that claimed anyone with basic DIY skills could put it in. It took him 4 hours as he ran into issue after issue. And he noticed a leak under said sink he's going to need to get a part for and come back to fix. But now I have safer water for drinking.
I also did laundry and made beds as my UK friend is coming for 10 days, first with her husband who doesn't live with her, but they are on good terms, for the weekend and then us for the rest of the time. At the end of her visit we are going to Santa Fe for a few days as she's never been and it's not a bad drive from here.
Last minute tidying here for me this morning and they arrive this afternoon.
It was a chilly 29 this morning!
Also must report I have had the WORST foot and calf cramps the last few nights. The kind that have your feet and toes going in every direction and make you leap out of bed to stand up to try to stop them. It's so dry here right now, I think some is dehydration (yay for the new drinking water set up) and probably a lot is electrolyte issues. I got up at midnight after a particularly bad set of cramps and drank two big glasses one with electrolytes and was able to sleep without further incident. But I have a headache this morning so I have more water work to do.
Frustrating moment from yesterday: I went late to the grocery store so I didn't have to do it today and when I was leaving a giant passenger van had parked so close to me (6 inches at the narrowest point!), not only could I not open the drivers door, I couldn't squeeze in to even get to the door. I was standing there in the cold and dark, pissed and flummoxed, when a nice woman walked by and was horrified by the parking job. She suggested I climb in from the passenger side which was no mean feat given how high the center console is in my car and how tall I am. Literally she was helping me push my foot around the steering wheel! And thankfully closed the door for me once I was in. I hope the driver of the van gets raging, untreatable hemorrhoids.
And so endeth my daily report! Take care all!
