Have fun at the cider brewery again Liz! Looks like such a fun place!
It will be 2 weeks since I have taken a shot tomorrow night. Getting some cravings for sweets and salty snacks but not too bad. The food was so good last night. I didn't think I really overdid it but I was miserable afterwards with a painful belly and burping non stop (which is my cue that I done ate too much!)
Not doing too much during the day today but have an appetizer sunset cruise this evening. Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions predicted for our last 3 days here. We fly out at 9 pm Wednesday and get back home a little after 3 pm on Thursday. Minus double digits back home today. DC1's battery died. DH ordered one online for them and his friend will install it for them today. Glad to be able to help, even an ocean away!
Plan to wear my second Tommy Bahama dress tonight unless it is too chilly!
I love Elton and his glasses! So cute!
Prayers that your friends dog will improve after the seizures, how scary!
Busy weekend for me... Lots of dog clients to groom. We had a little Cairn Terrier party yesterday. My friends brought a mama and 3 pups over for grooming. I tutored the grooming which was fun for me. It's been a while since I have gotten to work with Cairn people. Anyhow, one of the pups (a 6 month old boy) and I became fast friends... OMG! I could have stolen him. I still have him on my brain. I think you know I had Cairns for close to 20 years and there is just something about this little guy. He seems to truly live up to the breed slogan of "The Best Little Pal in the World"! Just such a happy fella. His name is Elton. I kidded about putting some whacky glasses and rhinestones on him. This is the photo that was sent to me this morning...
Sorry the photo is so darn big!
Weight is 213.6 today. Went up to 214.something on Saturday. Not sure why, but this is okay. Still liked 212 better. I am having a bit of trouble keeping water intake up and have had a sweet tooth the past couple of days.
A 7.5 year old dog that I bred has been in hospital since Saturday morning. His mom is out of the country and the dog sitter took him in. I am charged with making all the decisions for his care while she is out of the country. He had a grand mal seizure that did not stop on Saturday morning. He seized for over an hour, arrived at the ER with a temp of 108+ and has been unconscious (medically induced) since. They gave him major anti-seizure medication and sedatives to get the seizures to stop. He now has pneumonia, is on antibiotics, and has a fatigued heart muscle from the seizing. He's having a tough time, but is hanging on. I am on the phone with the vets 2-3 times per day. At this point it's giving him time to see if he can regain mentation. Fingers crossed. I so don't want to have to make the call to euthanize him, but I will, if I have to. It's my responsibility.
I, too, feel like I am at the starting gate, Diamond D.! I am making plans for fun things in August during the first weeks of school. I am sooooooo happy that I will not be starting school on August 10, 2025!!!!! I can't believe the union approved rolling back start of school to the beginning of August. But not my problem! LOL!
Not much else to report... Glad today is a school holiday.
You are almost at that gate!
Stay warm when you go out.

DH and I were just talking this morning about whether we had any regrets about his decision to retire at 62 (partially anyhow). We have none, zero, and I think it's because of stories like what has happened to your friends. Nobody knows how many healthy years await them. I feel right now like I'm a horse in the starting gate, waiting for the bell to ring and to hear someone say, they're off!!!
Despite my plans to stay inside, we have decided to go to a movie this afternoon. We are going to see The Last Showgirl. It's getting great reviews.
I have a 12pm zoom with my daughter and my Aunt (who is also daughters godmother), to discuss some summer plans. And they're off! Indeed. Better get going here. :)
118.8 - bi-weekly injection taken last night
We made it home yesterday after a nice brunch with our friends. One was a friend who went into cardiac arrest 4 years ago and barely survived. Then 2 years ago he had cancer in his salivary glands which looked like it was terminal. Through the wonders of immunotherapy they can no longer detect the cancer. He seems to have 9 lives. His wife looks terrible though. She is on oxygen 100% of the time, is all swollen with fluid, and can barely walk. She has advanced COPD and other issues which cannot be corrected. And they are only 3 years older than me!
Dinner at the beach club last night was very nice. It was still warm after an 80 degree day. But this morning it is 53. Water aerobics is iffy (she will cancel if under 55).
We will probably go south to Fort Pierce for lunch and to the cider brewery there. Always a fun activity. Dinner is up in the air right now.
Have a masterful Monday!

Javalinas are kind of interesting looking creatures. I have only seen them in Mexico and Arizona.

Back ordered???? What happened to NO SHORTAGE?!?!?!?!?!
I'm gonna be a little more than peeved if tirzepatide goes back on the shortage list after paying premium for my bulk order.
Yes, we have seen a few whale babies. The restaurant is Merrimans. It has taken over Mama's as the most coveted dinner spot but Mama's is still wildly popular! We were right by Mama's when we at the north shore.
