I haven't had cable in years. I think the trick is to cycle your streaming apps. Maybe you keep 2 or 3 at a time. And at least one of those is a rotating app. You might get Hulu for a month or two and watch all the things you want to watch, then cancel and swap it out for HBOmax or Britbox etc. Rinse and Repeat.

I have YouTube TV because my folks do and my TVs are signed into theirs. I don'****ch it, but they watch football and golf and some news when they're here. I watched election coverage, but otherwise haven't turned it on in several months.

I'll have to check it out. I'm working towards hanging it up with cable and going strictly to streaming subscriptions. I think I will save quite a bit of money monthly. I have to hunt around for an internet provider. I may be able to go with my current company, but we'll see. They may not be happy that I'm wanting to reduce services and put up road blocks.

Yes! Britbox and Acorn are two of the big British streaming apps. Acorn also has a lot of Australian and New Zealand shows in addition to all the British ones. I like them both and watch them more than Netflix. Britbox is affiliated with the BBC. Interestingly, AMC owns Acorn and they also do original programming.

Liz, I do bet that you'd really like "Geek Girl." But I also bet that your DH would not be hooked by its charms.

Which brings me to another confession: I think that one weekend a month I'd like to spend alone binge-watching all the things my DF would not enjoy. As much of an extrovert as I am, I do love my alone time, which is why I get up at dark o'clock, no matter the season, to do all my puzzles and read the papers. :)

Some days I just want to slap people for their self-granted entitlement to express every opinion they have whether they've been invited to do so or not. There's someone in my life right now who has strong opinions about many topics, but the bigger problem is that she insists on not only voicing them but then arguing with anyone in the room who doesn't agree with her opinion. And then she gets all insulted when the room temperature has risen so high that someone tells her to please just STFU. I will be spending less time in her presence next year.

Two TV recommendations. For a Christmas movie, A Biltmore Christmas on Netflix is one of the better ones I've seen this year. Of course, the bar isn't high, but I wasn't cringing my way through it like most!

On Britbox, No Offense. Crime show, good twists. Female leads. Entertaining!

218.3 - up a half pound. Guessing movie popcorn is the culprit. We went to see Wicked. I enjoyed it very much. The art and set design are phenomenal. I'm hoping Academy Awards in those categories are won! The score is rather clever, too. Quite a few homages to MGM's 1939 movie!

I did try to be somewhat productive yesterday. I got a lot of boring laundry (towels, sheets, crate pads) washed, folded and put away. I also was able to prep for today's lessons and feel very prepared to walk in the classroom and GOOOO! Also, paid property tax. Why CA has property tax due on December 10 is beyond me! Not the month to have a huge chunk of money fly out the window.

Getting up was not easy this morning. O'Dark Thirty was too chilly and dark for my taste. Traffic this morning was an absolute bear, too! I will be glad to leave the morning commute behind.

Good news: I'm taking two days this week for dog shows. So, kind of a short week for me. Work today and tomorrow, take Wednesday and Thursday off, work Friday. The following week will be a short one, too. I will fly to Baltimore on Friday, 12/13 (knock on wood) for my aunt's celebration of life.

While I did not really gain weight over the Thanksgiving week, I am feeling the push to seriously work on losing a few more pounds prior to the new year. My client on Saturday said she was not sure she wanted me to lose more weight. I'm thinking to myself, well, it's not really up to you, now is it? LOL! Funny how people feel entitled to an opinion on my weight loss goals.

Well, recess is almost over. Time to get cracking! I have holiday music to teach! Working on one of my absolute favorites today: I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas!
