Oh, I've had a few of those and it's an alarming feeling, isn't it!?!?!?!?!?

Once when I was a kid, I got up from one of those naps, got dressed, and started making my breakfast. My Mom asked me what I was doing, and I didn't believe her at first that it wasn't 7 in the morning, instead of 7 in the evening. I still remember that deep feeling of disorientation.

How about those naps where you fall asleep while the sun is still up and wake up in the dark like Rip Van Winkle and have no idea how many years have passed since you conked out?

Epic naps are wonderfully refreshing, especially when the end time is open. I've taken several that were cut short after dropping into a deep sleep. Those backfire as I'm then cranky as hell for an hour or so after.

I'm glad you could sleep and recoup. Good thing this is your last year...

Thank heavens that terrifying amount of tornados left your home and neighborhood unscathed. How terrible that 6 people died! Unimaginable.

Conferences went well, but I was over tired Thursday night and woke up around 4am, and dozed fitfully until 6am. Drug myself to work and when I got home, DH suggested we go for an early dinner on a patio. The unseasonably warm weather is waning, and the opportunity to dine outside comfortably is slipping away. We had a nice dinner, but the best part of Friday night was an epic nap. I slept from about 5:30pm until 9pm. Still was tired enough to return to bed by 11:30, and sleep until 9am. Feeling pretty good now!

This afternoon we are going to a musical called Scotland, Pa. Its billed as hilarious and witty and based on Macbeth. We decided to buy the tickets at the last minute at dinner. Ain't technology something. Sitting at the table with a phone, buying tickets, and getting them downloaded on said phone in about 5 minutes.

Tomorrow, weekend type errands, and packing for Galveston. We leave on Wednesday afternoon.

Weight 119.8 (down 1 pound - why I don't know).

The house is sold. Everything went incredibly smoothly. We had to go pick up the check issued by the realtor for the deposit so I could put it in the bank before we leave for Florida. We met my SIL for an early dinner at the restaurant on the water where we had our Wedding party 2 years ago.

Still waiting to hear a report from one Florida friend. Everyone else has checked in and their homes were undamaged. Some of the tornado damage in the town where we live was startling including a condo building with the roof ripped off and houses flattened. Luckily no reports of people hurt there, though the Spanish Lakes development in Fort Pierce where 6 people were killed is just south of us. The power in our building keeps going off and on. I hope that stabilizes by Monday. DS is on his way to Orlando this morning for the convention he is working at next week. Amazing how business continues.

Not much in the agenda for the weekend as we are essentially packed. The biggest initiative will be a trip to the dump tomorrow. The weather today is supposed to be warmer so we may wait for our long walk on the beach until this afternoon.

Have a super Saturday!

I hope your craft show ends up being worth your time!

My former beagle got into chocolate once. I called the vet and they said the amount required to make them sick was rather large (a large bag of M&Ms was way under the amount).

I'm good with the GPS, but have the worse sense of direction ever. I had to have instructions on paper before GPS too and had a few times in my life when I got so lost that I never thought I'd find a way to familiar territory. Panic invoking.
