203.0 still heading back on down. I love that I no longer "diet" after a vacation, nor do I panic putting on a few pounds of fun, vacation weight. I'm not sure if it's years of counseling or the meds, or a combination, but I sure enjoy this newer attitude.

LIz, you may be right about me having a bit of SAD, too! I think it's a combination of adjusting to winter weather, coupled with retirement. Now that my busy dog show and vacation schedule are taking a breath, I am faced with free hours every day. There are tedious and laborious chores I should be tackling, but they are chores I do not want to do, so I continue to put them off and waste time on the computer! I am feeling like my inner procrastinator is trying to take charge. I am also wondering if my distractibility is also getting the better of me lately.

I am beginning to believe I am one of those adults that has successfully navigated life using my smarts to compensate for my distractibility. I also know that being/keeping tightly scheduled always worked to keep me on track. Without a work demand I feel less pressure to stay on track and find that I am forgetting to get things done. I am going to have to do something about that! Maybe I would not feel this way, if I had my house in order. My office space is a total disaster, as is the garage. Those two things loom over me. I feel shame about those two rooms, too! Well, enough of that!

On the positive side - I had a lovely workout yesterday, got some club business done, and spent 4.5 hours grooming BFF's dogs. So yesterday was indeed more productive than Sunday. I have wonderful dogs! And, unlike some of those close to me, I believe the best years are still ahead of me!

Here's to a totally terrific Tuesday! (Oh, Liz what you started in me!!!! LOL)

I think it was that I changed from the regular blanket to the down blanket and it looked different. So I'm going with it! I would prefer he wasn't on the bed anyway! He cried a bit in the middle of the night to get up, but I didn't acknowledge it and he settled back on his bed.

117.8 - back down a bit

Today we are skipping the Beach Club which is a good thing. I think DH baked too much time in his scheduling there. It was a nice day yesterday but I am not used to consecutive full days there.

This morning we are going on an airboat ride in the Everglades. Always a crowd favorite. Afterwards we will have lunch in the town north of us at a Tiki Bar. This afternoon we have scheduled time on the bocce courts to play with the kids. The granddaughter actually asked about doing it which was big because she is at that sourpuss teenage point. Older grandson who is a senior in high school seems to be past that. He and his mother had some fun giggling moments playing a board game together last night. Heartwarming

But first a Justice walk of course and I have to get our bed stowed away before that. Have a tingling Tuesday!

Your DH does love his gadgets. A potato peeler that really works? We bought a contraption that was supposed to peel apples once but it just put gouges in them LOL.

Buying the studio building? That sounds like a big step but probably one worth taking!

It is amazing to me that you have to go such a long distance to get to the big stores. I feel like it is far away here when we have to drive 15 minutes, though it was 1/2 hour on Cape Cod.

Do you think Kirby wasn't feeling well or had a sore leg/joint? Justice is like that a lot lately but this week even though we are in a different bed he has stayed on the bed with us every night so far. I wish they could tell us what they are thinking...

I'm like you when I move. I am driven to get everything unpacked and find a home for it as quickly as possible.

That broccoli supreme does sound yummy! No turkey for Thanksgiving? When we were first in Florida for Thanksgiving we would go out to a restaurant for dinner.

I agree with Diane S - some testing for quality control purposes may be required on that pie!

My "kryptonite" as you call it used to always be sweets though they don't call to me as much anymore. I think dip is a common one for a lot of people which is why it is at every party. DSD said she went to a party where everyone brought their favorite dip. That is all that was served!

Sounds like you had a bit of SAD yesterday. I think everyone does to some extent when there isn't enough light in the day.

Perhaps a Costco Pumpkin Pie is what we need to bring our country together. It's the Dolly Parton of store bought desserts!

My family goes nuts when Chick Fil A brings out the peppermint milkshakes! It's got broken up candy cane and chocolate chips in it. So gives you little things to nibble on along the way. Today was my first. My folks have already had 2!
