We won't be showing our house, the couple wanted to move here ASAP and that isn't our timeline.
Your first date story is very sweet. Some magic was already happening, a story that was meant to be.
This is kind of who wee whoie, but the day I met DH, I had a quick vision pass through my head of me standing next to him while he unlocked a front door. This had happened countless times in 40 years, but never exactly like what flashed through my mind. Until the summer we stayed in the little cottage in Ipswich. It was that front door.
Liz, yes, I think our controversy club was impacted by political issues. Our discussions became too dicey and we started tip toeing around each other and it wasn't fun anymore, nor was I learning from our discussions. It was always challenging to find a date to meet, so we just stopped trying. No one said let's disband, but no one made the effort to set up the next meeting or pick a topic.
Thinking of Peps and his long drive! I always think we're going to hit the road early, but we too have settled on 9am being the more civilized time to depart. We would miss the bus for breakfast though!
We watched a 2 episode show on Netflix called Storming Area 51. Diane, it's about aliens, but nothing explodes. It's a documentary about a silly idea to storm Area 51 that went viral and the consequences.
Paula, are you moving forward with showing your house to the prospective buyers?
CC, I really would love to be Kirby, swimming, boating, napping. Except the sticks, I don't want to chew sticks. I do enjoy though seeing the pictures of him chewing sticks because he looks so perfectly happy.
Off to lunch. :)
PS: I think you need an additional bag Liz :)
117.2 - up a smidge as Paula would say.
Our fish reuben was great yesterday as was the stuffed quahog we also split. A stuffed quahog is a stuffed clam BTW. AKA a stuffie. Nice visit with our friends, then we went to a place near our house for afternoon music. We had a fire in the backyard in early evening.
As I mentioned yesterday today is our fifth dating anniversary. We are going to lunch at the place where we met that day. It was halfway between our homes at the time so it is 1/2 hour from here. DH will remind me that he sat on the deck near the stairs so he could have a quick getaway if our date didn't work out. Instead he ended up having 3 beers which is unusual for him and we walked on the beach across the street afterwards. Good beginning to our relationship.
I need to think about what I am bringing to Florida on Thursday. Not much as we can only bring a personal item. I didn't bother to add bags to our fare though the dog is coming with us. I may have to rethink that and add a bag.
Have a monstrous Monday!

Three days of driving? Yikes! Be safe!

You are lucky that you have so many longtime friends. Did your controversy club die out because of the current political climate? DH and I were commenting yesterday that there are very few people we can discuss anything politically charged with safely with these day.

I love having leftovers around (because I dislike cooking).
One way I add some protein every day is by using protein drink as creamer. Tastes the same as regular creamer to me. I eat a lot of eggs, cottage cheese and canned tuna for most meals and snacks (other than dinner).

Fresh fish direct from the dock! I would love that. Though many fish places say their stuff is that fresh, who knows? Twice I have had fish caught by family/friends during the day and cooked that night and it was amazing.

Sunday evening is here. Dog shows are finished in Ohio. Buster was not awarded as well as I would have liked, but he made a good showing. I can't complain, but I am disappointed he did not do better than he did. Oh well... As the saying goes... Another day, another dog show.
My eating has been abysmal. Far too many sweets and not enough actual nutrition. Hopefully, my calories have been low enough to maintain.
I'll hit the road sometime in the morning. My intention always is to leave in the wee hours, but reality is usually much closer to 9:00 am. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. I'll be damn proud of myself if I am on the road with the early birds.
No telling when I will check in again. I'm going to try to make it home in 3 days. Wish me luck!
Must be an East Coast thing? In New England it is usually Cod and coleslaw with thousand island dressing and cheese on rye. In Florida it is grouper with sauerkraut and thousand island on rye. We substitute the sauerkraut for coleslaw when in New England.
