Days of winter storm warnings and lake effect snow for my dad. Lots of opportunities to run the little Kubota tractor with the heated cab and the snow equipment! He was complaining that he's not getting as many turns as his wife who apparently does a better job with it. The feels like is -8 there at the moment with 30 mph winds. Brr. And they are warmer because of the lake. Bet it's cold for DD and Paula!
Kirby slept for hours after getting home from "camp". I think he needs a bath today. Pee-ew.
I have to do a Treasurer's report this morning that I forgot about with a change in the normal meeting date. But that's all I absolutely have to do. Everything else is optional... Tomorrow my neighbor asked if I could take her and her son to Costco (he is a chef and is catering a big event and doesn't have a membership as he normally does small cooking classes and dinner parties for a few people at a time).
So that's me! Hope you all are well and wishing you strength at the funeral Liz.
No weight as I am in Massachusetts.
The flight yesterday was on time but bumpy especially on the approach to land. One of the most jouncy landings I have ever had so it was a relief to be down. Then the drive from hell through pouring wind-driven rain in the dark where sometimes the only thing you could see was the car in front of you. The hands were sore from gripping the wheel by the time I got to the hotel. DS met me here and had a similar drive from Portland ME. At least it wasn't snow.
Today it is supposed to be sunny but still very windy. We leave for the calling hours in 2 hours. That is followed by a Mass, then lunch. DS and DD will go home from there and I will drive back to the airport to drop off the car and stay in the hotel next door tonight. Tomorrow morning I should already be 1/2 hour into my flight home at this point.
DH says Justice still seems a little lethargic this morning. Hopefully he will perk up as the day goes on. DH's sisters leave mid-afternoon and he gets the evening to himself which I think he is looking forward to.
Time to read the news. Have a thoughtful Thursday!

I hate going to the dentist too but it must be done to retain the teeth. Our first dentist when I was a kid didn't believe in Novocain and I needed a fair number of fillings. I think he was a sadist. Enough said.

Nice that your bible study group becomes a group of friends. I think the community of religion has gotten lost in many places. I was not catholic but my deceased DH and my kids were. The local parish church was walking distance away and the same priest was there for 20 years. He became a member of everyone's family and that church was a true Community (including me, a non-catholic). Now with the priests rotating, people don't really know them and church activities are more sporadic so I think a lot of that has been lost. Just IMHO.

The trip from hell! I don't think much else could have gone wrong!

WAY more than average. DH does elliptical fast for cardio 3 times a week and lifts weights for his arms 3 times a week. No core though he needs to for his back. He has had that same routine for 30 years so getting him to deviate is nearly impossible (he is a true creature of habit).

OMG CC, what a trial! I started rueful laughing when I read about smoke in the restaurant, and then there was MORE! Hope you are more rested today.
No way in the world could a person make up that story so must be true and OMGosg, what a hideous trip you had to endure. And no way to escape. Poor, poor dear.
I'm currently at 77 grams of protein. I will do a Fairlife shake (30 grams, I believe) and then have chicken breast for dinner. I won't quite make it, but I'll be close I think.
